Edit : Found this was due to region settings on my sharepoint site. Solved! Hi Michael, thank you for making this really helpful video. I was able to follow all the steps and create a workflow just like yours however I have a problem at the calendar end - the leave period gets added to the sharepoint calendar (when approved) - but in every case the dates are one day too early. e.g. If I request 5th to 10th October then the calendar will show the 4th to the 9th. Do you have any idea what is happening please? Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark, Sorry about this.. The calendar stores the events after they have been accepted, so you could just as easily use a SharePoint Calendar, or an Office 365 calendar. To start with, first plan where you want to store the leave events after accepted. If its a SharePoint Calendar, Create the SharePoint calendar (via add app - classic experience - Calendar). Once you have that, follow the instructions and when the request is accepted - use a flow to create the item in which ever calendar you chose.

Hi, You can add a event to a shared office 365 calendar or a sharepoint calendar using Power Automate. ie: www.sharepointpro.com.au/create-event/ - Regarding if calculating leave left, it is possible. It depends where you maintain this information. If you maintained the leave left in SharePoint then you could calculate it from a list, otherwise you may need to sync the information to SharePoint unless the crm which holds this information has a Power Automate connector.

@@omonoiatiko86 You could add in a 'manager' field to the form as a Person type. Or, if each user has their manager set in Active Directory, you can fetch their manager's details.

@@benhumphreys1871 I'm struggling with this same question; made a field called Manager, selected Person type and that worked great. But when I look in the Automated Flow, I'm not sure what to select for "assigned to." Do you know what the Dynamic content trigger would be? I think I've tried them all and I'm not getting the email when testing!

You can pause, rewind if you missed something, and you can place the playback on half speed if needed. His pace is great for others who don't need the exact step by step.

I loved the video however, one feedback: You are expert and not everyone has that expertise. when you speak the rate of speech is awesome however, when you work, its super fast. I have stopped your video and replayed it just to check what you did. wasted lot of my time without any reason so I would appreciate if you can perform the task slow like your voice. Thank you
