SOME CLARIFICATIONS:
- IT’S A SIMPLE COVER: it's NOT (obviously) Mark playing, but the guitar tracks (rhythm and solo) as well as the piano and keyboards are recorded by Massimo and me as written at the beginning of the video.
- AI was used EXCLUSIVELY to isolate Gilmour's voice from the DVD (David Gilmour in Concert - 2001), i.e. to have the vocal track without the instruments.
- The idea was to 'superimpose' Gilmour's real voice on a COVER played in a style inspired by the photograph of Mark's meeting with David.
- It is a COVER that is only meant to be - with great respect and humility - a personal suggestion: thanks for listening.

Polly Samson recently shared the news on her social media platforms that David Gilmour has been recording new music at Mark Knopfler’s British Grove Studios in London.
Further details came to light when longtime Mark Knopfler engineer and producer Guy Fletcher shared on his Instagram platform, “I recorded David yesterday for the TCT project. It was great to see him and Polly. (And their dogs!)”

“Wish You Were Here” deals with that mental inability - the refusal, even - to engage with reality, and it served as much as a rallying for Waters as a sad tribute to Barrett's better days.
"Wish You Were Here" is a song by English rock band Pink Floyd. It was released as the title track of their 1975 album of the same name.
