What’s a good graphic design software to start with?

Hi there! I use the Adobe creative cloud, which is a subscription based software package including everything you could ever need as a designer (Adobe illustrator for creating graphics, Adobe Photoshop for image editing, etc.) But it's a bit on the pricier side in most countries, so as a beginner you might wanna look at some alternatives.
Affinity Designer is a solid software you could be looking at, while it's not free, it's much cheaper than Adobe, and is becoming a really good alternative. At this point it can do (almost) anything Adobe illustrator can.
As an absolute beginner, I would recommend you looking at some free software, like Canva. Programs like this are much simpler, and therefore not as powerful as the previously mentioned ones, but I believe using them would give you the foundations you need to master, and then when your confidence grows as a designer, you can move onto some more advanced software.
