Thank you for the nice comment! I am new around here. I love old television shows, but no one in my real life wants to listen to me prattle on about this stuff, so I ended up here : ) Thanks so much for watching!

He was a good person he needed a antidepressant and a woman who would stand by his side and give him confidence. Rest in peace ❤

I can't think of a favorite scene featuring Ken Weatherwax at the moment, but I'll never ever forget the time I encountered Ted Cassidy in a Sears department store candy line in Glendale, California(I lived "next door" in Eagle Rock). My good friend "John" who was just ahead of me in line whispered to me, "Hey Marty, look how tall that guy that just walked up in back of you is, he's a giant!" I thought I'd turn around and pretend to "just be looking for a wall clock to only see what time is was getting to be", and when I glanced up I saw "Lurch" without any makeup or costume! I recognized him right away, who wouldn't? Well, I wanted to say something to him, but I couldn't think of a single thing to say that didn't sound stupid, so I just threw a "fun knee" joke at him by saying, "Hey kid, you here to get free popcorn too!?". Mr. Cassidy's eyes grew a sparkle letting me know he thought what I said was funny, me calling him a kid and all, then he groaned out in true Lurch fashion, "PEEEEENUT.... MMMMMM & MMMMMMS!". Then we talked for a couple of minutes. I told him I was there to get new school clothes, he told me he was just browsing, but that he might pick up some new tools while he was there. That was on a Sunday afternoon. On Monday, I had the best bragging rights story to share before school, during breaks between classes, at lunch and after school let out too. I was 13 and in 7th grade going to a school that was Jr and Sr high, grades 7-12. Even the big kids wanted to hear what me and Lurch talked about, and where we had met. The show had ended by then, 1970. But they still showed reruns at the time.

That's a great memory! And what an experience to have! You were in the right place at the right time. I would have been one of those school kids that gathered around you wanting to know every detail. That's awesome! Thanks for sharing the story!

When I first saw his name I thought it was a stage name, taken off a can of car polish.

      @@JohnDrummondVA, it wasn't really a " knock off "
The Robot was designed by Robert Kinoshita, who also designed Lost in Space's robot which both appear together in Lost in Space episode #20, "War of the Robots", and in episode #60, "Condemned of Space". Robby appeared in several other movies as well.
