When I do use a saddle stitch, I prefer a more rustic look using artificial sinew.
I’ve never liked the look of a stitched project. I prefer lacing and buck stitching. I know it takes longer but I find it relaxing.
I love those too... but they're not everyone's style. Buckstitch is starting to make a comeback.

Why Don't you use rubber cement for this project. Boot Makers have used for years with greet success.
Because it is not needed. It's Faster to not worry about cement

what zipper is that?
It is a YKK brand. I forget what they call their premium line.
On the 75% sling.. for the front zipper pocket, there isn’t enough to fold completely in half to make that front pocket… what am I missing?
I'm not sure. It should fold in half and the zipper be about 3/4 to 1" below the fold.
Ok I’m gonna give yall a call tomorrow because my templates don’t line up.. I’ll have to send you pictures… and the front pocket don’t fold all the way in half
