So relaxing, fun and colourful! I'll give it a try 🤗 I love blooms and I'm planning to use my paints that separate the pigments - sorry but I forgot the technical name . Sometimes the English words just vanish from my brain, and others they are all I can remember, but this happens when I'm speaking in my language 🙃 how deceitful!
Hi Mary. As you've discovered, the more water you use the higher the risk of buckling. But keep in mind that if you leave the paper taped down onto the board, it will flatten out quite a lot when it dries. This doesn't take away the buckling during the painting process. The only way to eliminate buckling completely is to stretch paper, or to use paper that's so think it hardly buckles at all (300 lb : 640 gsm).

Are the bugs wet on wet as well?
Hi, Anthony, I love this exercise, but my paper buckled using only artist tape after I wet the paper. Should the paper be stretched?
