Ecco is like Nike , they either fit or they don’t. It’s a tough company to blind buy. 1st gen bioms we’re wider but 2 and 3 went more narrow. But they relaunched the og platform this year . I want to try the s3 and c4 but the s3 goretex looks like a nice shoe for looping.

Yes, I would agree, best purchased in a shop at the east end of small scottish seaside town called North Berwick.

Pretty sure the Biom H4 has the gore-tex surround making it 100% waterproof. At least that is the model being marketed in the states. I have the S-3's and they are very comfortable and stable. Great review as always 👍

Yes I think you're right, I just saw the new range for next year last week, there's some brilliant looking shoes again. S Three continues as is, with one or two slight colour revisions but their top shoe, I think looks amazing, will obviously review as soon as I get them.

Very good in depth review and experienced same comfort and functional wearing benefits with my H4’s. What I didn’t expect was the extensive and rapid scuffing of the soft perforated leather meaning it’s virtually impossible to keep the shoes clean . The shoe literally looked years old after wearing maybe 8-10 rounds. Granted I’m playing in a links course where there’s typical rough terrain . That said other shoes like Adidas 365 have significantly more durable uppers. Unfortunately my experience with Ecco H4 leather upper doesn’t cut it on durability.

Yes I do know what you mean. It's probably pretty similar with all the light coloured Eccos to be honest, that I've seen. They are difficult to keep looking good. Dark colours are obviously okay but it is annoying when light colours look old so quickly and they cost so much to start with.

All my nikes are US 11 (with 1.5 cm of free space between the big toe and the point of the shoe. By the size guide in the page of Ecco - and being my longer foot 27.5cm- it would be equivalent to a size 43 and /or 9/9.5 in US. This is very confusing,
If I add 1.5 cm of free space, then my correct feet would be 45 or 11/11.5 in US size? pls will appreciate your advice.
Cesar (from Buenos Aires). I plan to buy it in the US because there are no shoes because of import restrictions.

I currently have 41 in Eccos and my foot length is 25cm. They were very snug when I first got them but because the leather is so soft they are now perfect. I could wear 42 and I think there would be about the same gap as you mention (1.5cm free space). My gut feeling is that as you are a US 11 in Nike, which also have a bit of space free, that equates to a UK 10 which is a 44 in Ecco normally. So if you came into my shop saying you were a US11 and asked to try on Eccos, my first selection for you to try would be 44. You might be able to get into a 43 and it may stretch but I dont think you would have 1.5cm free space and so you may perceive it as too tight. If I had to put money on it from what you've said I would gamble on 44 but it's possible I'm wrong ! Sorry, its a tough one, shoe sizes don't seem to have anywhere near a standard these days and so buying online can be problematic sometimes. Hope this helps.

Always use the left shoe when trying them on, the left foot is a little bigger.
