    I have them. I love them. I like the fact that they come in full-half sizes. The 46 (12-12.5) fits perfectly. I wasn’t sure about the traction, being spikeless, but it’s not an issue. They grip extremely well. Yeah, they are more expensive than most golf shoes, but imo they are made out of premium materials and I expect them to last years to come. Friends swear by them, having same pairs for years. I expect nothing less. If you can catch a sale like I did, they’ll be on par with FootJoy prices.
    Also, they are a great dress athletic looking shoe. Goes well with pants or shorts. I have them in the off white, and they hold their color really well after a wipe down after the round.

    You should do a comparison video. I'm trying to see if I want to buy the Biom C4 or the Footjoy Stratos.

    Hi Kevin , your the man on golf shoe reviews so thank you . Keep them coming. I bought the H4’s in my local pro shop - loved the premium look and definitely up there in terms of comfort. The perforated leather upper unfortunately scuffed up (badly and quickly) on our links style track. These shoes are almost impossible to keep a clean look in lighter off white colour. Wouldn’t but Ecco again for this reason . Staying with Adidas . Comfort and style is a yes - durability big no for me . Great review as always .

      Thanks Tom, really appreciate the support 🙏👍 Interesting point about the scuffing. Unfortunately I’m not in a position to perform long term tests on the shoes I review, so I haven’t experienced any scuffing in the shorter number of rounds I’ve played. I did put them through their paces though in pretty muddy conditions and mind cleaned up ok so far.

    Just sold last years shoes the Fuel and S2Gs I had, and bought UA new shoes a spiked and Spikeless version. Not had a spiked pair in years and realised they just clog up until your just walking mud on mud, also finding the spiked version are creasing up pretty quickly. The Spikeless version are much better. Had an eye on the C4s so yes would like a review on those!

      I’m generally a big fan of UA, but I’d say these Eccos have a more premium feel. Seen some C4’s on sale for £170 so will probably grab them for a review 👍

    After experiencing dozens of lesser shoes, I’ll never ever waste my time or money on anything other than Ecco Boa

    Best golf shoes I’ve ever owned. On my second pair and worth every penny. Proper golf shoe. (Boa makes them even better and also nicer in white imo)
    PS did you say gusset ?😂😂😂😂😂😂

    Ecco has for years done an excellent job of making high quality performance spikeless shoes. They definitely aim more at the purists (and older crowd) than those who would be going after the Jordan golf shoes. They seem to have a nice spot in the market and I don’t see them making drastic changes to their approach.

    • @GolfGuyReviews
      @GolfGuyReviews  Před rokem +2

      Yep, that sums it up nicely. Was keen to test them for myself, just a bit of an expensive price point to buy them out of curiosity…still debating buying the C4 also at £170…might buy them with next months budget 👍

    Hi Kevin enjoyed your Ecco H4 golf shoe review 👍, I have been wearing Ecco Biom golf shoes for 3years now👍, the are the most comfortable golf shoes I have ever worn👍, play 3 times per week (thro the winter if it’s raining) I wear Footjoy Boots, But don’t like giving up the comfort of my Ecco’s, the H4s, look a great winter shoe so will be looking for a deal for the best price (if they come in Black), Thanks Kev, Dickey 9hcp 76year senior golfer

      Thanks Dickey, I’d say these could be a good alternative to your FJ boots, so long as you’re happy they’re not spikes 👍

    Ummm...they're a NO for me. But great review of an ugly shoe. I also fear the long-term durability of those rubber "spikes".
    This is your channel, so I defer to you; but, would you consider giving a 1-10 score of waterproofing? Your test of waterproofing is one of the most unique aspects of your channel and a "Golf Guy Score" could really help me understand the difference between Horrible-to-Bad-to Fair-to-Good-to-Great.

    • @GolfGuyReviews
      @GolfGuyReviews  Před rokem +1

      Thanks Perry! The outsole is quite a hard plasticky rubber, so would expect them to last longer than more rubbery ones.
      Interesting point about the waterproof scale…I’ll have a think…no promises though. I think a shoe is either not waterproofed at all, has a water proof upper but let’s water in at the tongue, or has a gusseted tongue to stop water to a certain point. Not sure I have the energy to rate the severity of each of those options, but as I say I will have a think 👍
