I don't think they have prayed "enough" for James therefore he was surprised by evil. Then they woke up, rose up to a new danger also for Peter, and began to pray unceasingly. How often we do this same. Until we see that we are in a new battle and it's time to really fight!

So in the line of logic you are using concerning the church’s lack of prayer and James’ death here is a question: Do you blame the people at Mary’s house for the death of James?

@@martinhbowman1Sounds like it to me. Let's face it, we are humans made by God in His image but we can not know the mind of God. A man at our Church was sick and in hospital. Our entire church had been praying for him. But one Wednesday night, during the actual service, our minister explained that the man was getting worse. He called on the church to pray either at the altar or at their seats. We prayed for several hours as a large group of people in addition to having the sick man on a prayer chain. The man died. He was 55 years old and had not been sick. They thought it was flu but found out it was his heart. We don't know why but our intellect is nothing to force God to tell us why. God is sovereign and love itself. He sees the future and knows what's best. That's why we walk in faith. We trust God when it doesn't make sense to us. Who can know the secret things of God. But we choose to trust Him because His Word says we can. He has proven to me over and over that I can trust Him.

@@martinhbowman1 I answered you but CZcams didn't like my answer and removed it. They censor when it's too much God for them to handle.
