Fun Solo Winter Hike on Lake Superior

Join me for an early winter hike on the icy shores of Lake Superior. Beginning at Naomikong Overlook provided easy access to the North Country Trail (NCT), and another of Michigan's many sugar-sand beaches. This hike can be done as a 5 mile (8km) loop from Naomikong to the Shallows and back along the quiet Lake Superior Shoreline Road. An easy, fun hike with plenty of opportunity for beach-combing and picnics.
