It is refreshing to watch a married couple speak about one another with evident respect and loving regard. Each of you affirms the other and differences are stated by not joked about or laughed at. I have seen videos produced by couples in which stereotypical "male/female" differences are shared over and over again to get a laugh. This video shows simple acknowledgement of how YHVH created us to be different, and how those traits and tendencies blend together and are appreciated by both. I appreciate the honor and respect you both convey about marriage with our Creator at the center of the covenant of the union. Thank you.
I honestly don't think that any of our commentors know how much their comments mean to us. You exhort the way the Scriptures direct brothers and sisters in Messiah to exhort. We are so thankful to YAHUAH for those He has brought into our lives through this channel, and the channels of our children. Thank you for your kindness and taking your time to watch and comment.
John Piper wrote a poem for his son when his son was getting married and it was called something like, "Love her more; love her less". And the basic gist of it was to love your wife more than anything else in the whole wide world including yourself. Lover her more than everything except for God to which you love her less than you love God. This is in fact, ironically - loving her less, the most loving thing you can do for your wife. Young men in particular need godly men as examples to follow. David, you set an excellent example to Chase and Jacob on how a man is supposed to act. Also, marriage is the earthly representation of Christ's relationship with the Church. I'll restrain myself from writing a book in your comment section on all that entails but there's a lot there. I believe he was weary, as we learn all throughout the Word that being a prophet of the Most High was a very lonely life, so it sounds like he felt he wasn't getting anywhere with the people, which lead to him feeling disheartened, afraid and alone. "And he (Elijaha) answered, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, broken down thine altars, and slain thy Prophets with the sword, and I only am left, and they seek my life to take it away." (19:10) He asks YAHUAH to take his life (19:4), but YAHUAH showed kindness to his prophet by listening to him, and through a "still, small voice" (19:12) let him know that he was NOT alone. YAHUAH had a remnant, (19:18) "Yet will I leave seven thousand in Israel: even all the knees that have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth that hath not kissed him." WHAT A KING. We may feel like we are the only ones who love and live for YAHUAH, we may feel all alone in this world, but He shows us through His Word that He has a remnant of His people all around. We may not know them personally, but they are there and they are standing firm. AMEN! Glory and honor to HIM!
