My husband served 32 yrs in the military and he passed away last year. When they folded that flag and handed it to me I was so proud of him. I will miss him forever....R.I.P. Sgt Columbus, my love.

Toby wasn't in the service, but his dad was and toby performed dozens of concerts for the military for many years. Rip mr. Keith, loved growing up with your music and you. Peace from Northern Michigan.

This old fourth generation vet has always loved this song. Salute to my brother and sister veterans! Great reaction!! Thank you for playing this. FFDP Wrong side of heaven and gone away are two songs that hit this old vet hard. Trace Atkins Till the last shot is fired and Arlington are two more great songs.

I have watched about a dozen of these reaction videos to American Soldier, and I can say this was the best and most sincere that I have seen. The reason I watched so many, I was looking for a reaction to one specific part of the song that struck me the deepest the first time, and every time I hear it. As a retired Navy, and Desert Storm vet, I was really struck by the line "I know the sacrifice, and I don't want to die for you, but if dying is asked of me, I'll bear that cross with honor, cause freedom don't come free." This was something I ever met in the military knew without thinking about it. Just wondering if it was just me or if no one else sees any significance in these words.

I come from a military family and my cousin was a marine on the front lines when all the bombings were going on during the war and I was so worried every time I heard about a bombing I'm like please let him be safe thankfully he returned home safely
His father was Army. Toby did USO concerts around the world for serviceman and women. Somewhere in the neighborhood of 240!

My Dad was in the US Army in WWII, he and my mother has just been married when Pearl Harbor was attacked. They just had a few months together prior to his being drafted. He was sent to the south Pacific and they only had the mail for letters, no phone calls, no video chatting. They didn’t see each other for 3 plus years. My husband is a Vietnam veteran, served in the Marine Corps. Our children were raised loving our country, respecting our flag and honoring those in the military who put their lives on the line for the rest of us. ♥️🇺🇸♥️

His dad fully supported him trying to get a record deal before joining the military!! But, but serving never changed his absolute respect, admiration and love for our military!!!

Hello there. I served 26 years missed countless family events through the years, hell my two,oldest sons I didn’t really get to know till they were nearly grown. One time I went for Pt at 0600 and came home 12 months later. To me it was a privilege. Your views are all the thanks I’ll ever need. Thank you for gettin it. We do have have problems here but it’s the best thing goin and maybe one day we’ll grow up and love each other like we should.
