It's actually impressive how long-running of a show Survivor is and the best game to recreate it in over 20 years is Roblox, LOL.
I wonder if the characters are modeled after Koh-Lanta players and they just looked up a bunch of random Survivor player names to add to them.
There's possibly a French person popping off at seeing their favourite people in a video game, but they appear to have replaced the Koh-Lanta host with Jeff Probst so who knows!
Roblox Survivor is genuinely a lot of fun with a group, probably the best Survivor game outside of ORGs which I've spent...too many years of my life playing...

I'm so sorry, I know. I KNOW. But I'm 1 minute into this video and IMMEDIATELY upon seeing Jeff Probst in low-poly 3D I, for some reason, thought of this horrible horrible game idea nearly fully formed:
SO! The pitch. Ahem.
Survivor game with all new characters, no real people. It starts with a lot of challenge based gameplay but focuses more on social connections and survival mechanics and all it seems normal until slowly, piece by piece, like a horrid eldritch tome opening itself to you, the Survivor game reveals itself to have been a dating simulator this entire time.
Who you choose to bring on rewards MATTERS. Who you talk to on the island MATTERS. You are scripted to lose at final 4 fire after someone betrays you and you realize your goal is actually to get your ideal date to win the million. Your vote at FTC decides the winner and if they're also your love interest *you* get the million dollars. They give it to you. It jump cuts to the live reunion and Jeff interviews you about your blossiming young love and they just *give it to you.* Everyone hates this game. The bad ending is you live alone but win the SIA award. It is awful.
Survivor: All Stars-esque dating sim? Phenomenal.
I promise you, it WILL be better than any other Survivor video game we have.

I remember when I played this game about two years ago. I have only played the game twice and I will happily describe my experience. The first time I played it I did horrendous. It didn’t help the Wii Nunchucks I had were about 5 years old and I hadn’t used them in a while, so they didn’t work as well. For the entire first game I won some and then lost most of the team challenges, so I lost my entire tribe and lost the game. I took a small break, bought some new Wii Nunchucks, and played again. This time, I did fairly well. I managed to crush the other team after getting used to the controls and won every team challenge, minus a few, like the one canoe mini game that made me want to end my life. After that, the merge came and I managed to make it to the end and win. I was so happy but at what cost? I spent around three-four hours just playing survivor on the wii, swinging my arms repeatedly, all to just win in a very underwhelming way. After some thought, I ended up playing Americas Next Top Model, which for some reason had a Wii game. I ended up being the second person out in that game and wondered why I bought it off of Amazon.
Glad to hear my Nunchuck wasn't the only one that sucked. My arms HURT after playing oh my god. I had a weird amount of fun though, but this may have been Stockholm syndrome, or the fact my brain just seems to really like anything Survivor related...
You mentioning Kohlanta sent me down a rabbit hole. Oh my god Kohlanta's wikipedia page is astounding. Two different seasons got cancelled for horrific reasons???
It's not even the most horrific version of Survivor! That...honour(?) goes to Survivor: Bulgaria...
@@HenryHickmanSurvivor : If you're talking about Survivor BG Season 4, would you believe one of my friends was on vacation in Caramoan when it was being filmed, and told me they saw the show being filmed and then the part where the contestant died and then they had to fly him out of there? She was annoyed because she thought she'd have a quiet vacation.

@@HenryHickmanSurvivor : It's so weird, so many Survivor seasons have been filmed here (pre-Fiji permanent residence) and my friends keep running into the Survivor filming whenever they go on vacation, but I never do. It's like Jeff knows I would be the type who'd go on Reddit and immediately leak everything LOL.

It's on my list! Hunting down a copy of an obscure 2001 PC game is a bit of a mission but I'm seeing what I can find. It won't be for a few weeks though, I don't quite think it's time for me to transition into a let's play channel just yet!

I think your channel could be a let's play channel, if you wanted. But Survivor is why I subscribed, so I say stick to your passion/strength.

The tribal council portion is definitely trying to portray Expedition Robinson's format before it got remodeled after Borneo (and after the controversy of the first season)
I haven't seen Expedition Robinson before, but it may be worth comparing to current Survivor some time!
@@HenryHickmanSurvivor From 1998 to 2000, Expedition Robinson adopted a format where the winning team would vote one member of the losing team home due to the controversy and suicide of the first boot of the first season, I usually compare modern Survivor to how many twists and random things the european versions throw to make the game more flashy (of course by using challenges and stuff)
you should play Survivor Castaway Island on modern consoles. its a trip
All Survivor games are trips, and if i can find them I plan on covering them! (The main issue is time needed to play through the game a few times)
