Steven slapping a bag of Basmati rice is the Asian mood in all of us.
lmaooo true, it made me realize how i do that too when i go get rice
No one asked
I felt my heart go "one of us, one of us"
I think all of us asians had at least slapped a bag of rice before cuz smacking the bag of rice just feels really satisfying lol
there were a lot of rice there and he slapped the basmati. good choice
I just want a Worth It series of Steven showing Andrew around Malaysia and Andrew showing Steven around Ukraine.
I support this!
Up!
I want to see this happen. HAHAHAHAHHA!
Why Ukraine
II PSYCHO II it’s where Andrews family is from
Kelsey Paige ahhh I didn’t understand he doesn’t have a Ukrainian name or surname so I was a bit confused so I guess he is one of my brothers aswell
Can we just appreciate how respectful Andrew was to Steven when he was talking about his childhood and time in Malaysia? He didn't make any jokes or remarks and was thoroughly supportive/enthusiastic.
eh even if andrew was making jokes about it, we wouldn't mind you know. we're not that sensitive about that kind of stuff. jokes are jokes, theyre not meant to be taken seriously.
i'd like to think this is the bare minimum a person should do
Isn’t that how normal interactions work? Sad that you’re deprived of this basic respect so much that you have to actively appreciate someone for doing the bare minimum
i wanna bff that looks at me as candidly as the two of them, do; they act like they hide NOTHING from the other and know they won't judge 😁
@@anti_fascist its sadly like that for some of us o_o so thank you for normalizing *healthy norms*

And you love that..

i LOVE that andrew is so cool, supportive, and open-minded about food :D he wanted to eat steven's favorite food, was so open-minded and calm about durian (ppl damn near lose their minds with the smell half the time). he lets steven talk all about his background and memories with the food and makes really sweet comments :)

Well said! I think this is what was lacking in that one commenting fiasco video with the guest.
You are kindve overthinking a buzzfeed video where hey eat cheap and expensive food
Could’ve taken him fifty takes before he swallowed it.
@@gram8121 how is it overthinking? I was surprised too he didnt flip out with the durian and was very respectful.
FINALLY a non-native doesn't overreact to durian and is open enough to enjoy it
Andrew is the open, down to earth, non-colonizer attitude white guy I've seen. His family is from Ukraine so I suppose they have a lot of different influences growing up and his openess to other cultures without being a baby about it, shows.
Im in singapore i like durian
@@GordWayne "Non-colonizer"? What do you mean by that? Weird phrase.
@@michealweiss3568 opposite of a colonizer. Someone who can only see a culture through their own, unable to appreciate even a food for its taste rather than their preconceived notions of what food should be. Many carry this attitude even today.
@@GordWayne Oh okay gotcha. So a person from any background or culture that see's their food as superior. I've had so many colonizer types from my Pakistani relatives coming to the USA and trying southern food now that I think of it lol.

Gargee Basak that’s only if there’s a lot of food to eat with the roti or if the roti’s are small
Personally for my family it's 2 people 6 roti

I literally eat 6 roti everyday
Adam eating that puff like a squirrel is one of the cutest things I've ever seen
Adam is definitely a God send
My brother (also called Adam) eats food like that, so I get to see this a lot
He's ripped so it looks kinda ridiculous too
Yes
yeay..because normally Adam got a big bite... hehe
Finally! *A durian review that isn’t completely biased over the smell.* Honestly all those other videos are insulting. The overacting, the gagging...It’s ridiculous! Steven and Andrew DID IT RIGHT.
Izzy as a person who has had durian before, all I can say to you is shut up. Durian literally made me gag from the taste and smell. trust me, those reviews aren’t overreacting l.
Yeah true that
Izzy I know! Really made everyone else look like idiots for reacting the way they did
Ya I'm actually thankful they did this -- I honestly didn't realize durian was voluntarily edible until they showed this little clip. Every video I've ever seen is just people gagging over the smell but not tasting it. Didn't know it tasted good.
Durian is a luxury by itself and its such a savoury thing!! To each their own taste!
As someone who binge watched this entire series, I agree with a lot of the comments. This editing is too rushed. Sure we watch for the food, but we also watch for their banter and chemistry

Maybe not curry, but Indian food is easily one of the best types of food out there. It's really underappreciated here in America.
I have never tried Indian food, but even I know that it is underappreciated in the U.S. Every time i watch this show i crave whatever they are eating soo badly, I don't know how they do it.
I feel like Indian food is highly undervalued in American Culture. Thai Cuisine is king here.
In Asia people mainly enjoy hot and spicy food while in America they care for sweets and fried food. Maybe it's due to these large gaps of flavour that these foods are underappreciated
yeah i never see indian places in america and just panda express for chinese food, here in the uk it’s literally so popular there’s chinese and indian takeaways and restaurants everywhere
Because a lot of Indian Food is healthy or vegan. Healthy + America don’t go together. Try our deep fried burgers 🍔

Jamie Kemp not really colonists. Lemme tell you something, there were some places in India, with boards outside, that said “no dogs and Indians allowed.” Let that sink in. But that’s what my history books taught me. Idk the other part of the story.
@@akkurl The colonists are the 'britishers' that you're talking about who took over the country. We plainly stole the country from the natives that were already there, and also on a side note called all "Indian food" (I agree that British Indian food isn't actually Indian food) curry.

I feel in this episode it was a lil hard to fairly compare the 3 as they are all different cuisines to begin with, one was a pie, one was a Malaysian Noodle Soup (Laksa) and one was Indian Cusine. Buzzfeed took this show and Curated way to much and took the fun and relax feel of this away. This is usually what happens because of the popularity they try to jazz it up and instead of making it better they make it totally boring and scripted. Not enough Adam, not enough of the guys just hanging out and talking. I really hope they listen to our advice and go back to what it was. The one thing I found super weird from last season was that say for example they were doing a fried chicken episode I disliked how they would go to New York, North Carolina, and LA for it. Why can’t they just stay in 1 city for one episode 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ idk if that makes sense. Been watching since they had Keith with Steven in Vegas. Why this episode kinda sucked:
1.) The music at the start of every episode is gone. Where's the happy chill vibe?
2.) The episode feels rushed wheres the hanging out? the friendship? It felt like as long as we release an episode its enough.
3.) Annie, will she be a regular? she did not contribute to the segment till the end. Its like The Dynamic Trio doesn't need to
be a Quartet the three of them were perfect. (Unless she was a guest like Rie)
4.) The new style of editing sucked it felt that the life is getting sucked out from the viewers like BBT all sepia and gray
coupled with the gloomy vibe of the hosts. They seem tired.
5.) The food tasting segment seemed too technical or clinical. Like what I said before losing the excitement/enthusiasm of tasting food
which people look up to when eating new food.
6.) Not enough Adam
My opinion, but please let it reach you.
Sincerely, a Worth It fan.
True but it's on trending #2 in Canada. But when u click on it and view it , it's sad

imho there's a lot of dialogue over shots of andrew and steven eating so far this season, and that's totally cool!! but i feel like one thing that made worth it stand out compared to other eating shows online and on tv is seeing them just converse with each other; it gave off a very familiar feeling of just eating with friends and hanging out. that professional feel of hearing them talk over seeing them eat is super nice, but it takes away from that super laid back, chill vibe worth it always gave off. it has always been friends eating together, and now it feels like more of a food review show (which i mean it is, but you get the point). all in all i love the show for what it is and i'll support it and everything about it, but that's just my two cents on this season so far.

That being said, I miss the older episodes: there was just more depth to them, more emotion and relation to Andrew & Steven’s camaraderie. Now, it just feels so forced, and scripted to the point where I feel like they’re talking straight from a TelePrompTer. They should do what Unsolved, LadyLike, and The Try Guys did: separate themselves from the Buzzfeed brand. I firmly believe that, with them having total creative, scheduling, and constructive control that comes from an independent business, they could flourish in a way that still sticks to their original way of doing things, with more freedom to just be themselves, without the censorship that Buzzfeed ultimately uses on their content, whether it’s the ideas on the videos/articles, to the creative process of making them.
