Most people in my country discovered Gojira when they opened for Metallica on their European tour. Even the most hardcore metallica fans still talk about how Gojira kicked their asses that day.
I'm seeing gojira for the third time now and they are still not headliner. I want to hear embrace the world.
The link is criminally underrated. I understand why people love the other records but holy cow the link is a masterpiece cover to cover
Actually both brothers, Mario and Joel, didn't start music with metal, but Jazz.

Gojira has been and probably always will be my favorite band. Every album (minus fortitude) is probably in my top 15 all time. Super sick live. Old recorded concerts own too. The les vieilles charrues set and the link alive have given me goosebumps every time I’ve watched them
Minus Fortitude? I'd argue it's probably their best. Definitely doesn't deserve to be at the bottom of the pile.
@@_Davepocalypse not saying it’s bad, just (extremely subjectively) my least favorite of theirs. If it’s your favorite we just have different tastes you and I, goes to show the range of the band 😎
@@shanemoran9 fair enough! They do indeed have some good range. I'm sure every Gojira fan can love some whales though 😂.

@@_Davepocalypse honestly rotate through each one depending on what’s going on. Hard to argue against FMTS being their best, don’t think there’s a single song on the album that is anything less than incredible. Have a soft spot for terra incognita tho, super brutal without the graphic lyrics that comparable sounding records usually have. What about you? You like the more refined stuff like magma after fortitude or just really like fortitude and mix it up after that?

Estoy tan felíz por saber que Gojira en estos años esté teniendo la fama y reconocimiento que realmente merecen.
Suena estúpidamente loco que la era Incognita-TWOAF fuese considerablemente underground (aún teniendo ya en repertorio tantos himnos).
A pesar de que al pasar del tiempo y su respectiva evolución musical se hiciera de a poco cada vez más digerible para públicos más extensos, amo Magma y me encantaFortitude, además, puedo agregar que la grabación de magma, fue un gran reto para los hermanos Duplantier a raíz del fallecimiento de su madre. A pesar de la dificultad y tantos sentimientos encontrados, en conjunto con la experiencia de los cuatro y su creatividad artística, dieron resultados magistrales.
Haber conocido la banda ha sido una de las bendiciones más lindas que la vida me ha dado, además le debo mucho emocionalmente a estos maestros. Salir de 4 años de depresión no hubiera sido fácil sin haber descubierto a Gojira y MTH.
Un verdadero fan es aquel que puede vibrar con los demos del 96 en adelante hasta Fortitude de 2021 y quien pueda no estar de acuerdo, estoy en la creencia de que ese alguien no se ha dado el tiempo de conocer mejor a la banda.

Great band!
Small piece of advice: Give us some small examples from each album (or at least from the more important ones). I'm pretty sure that if you use small snippets the video won't receive any claims. Also, maybe some fun facts about the albums ? And some clips taken from interviews ? (while crediting the original, of course). Otherwise great job !

A lot of interesting information here that I did not know! I’ve only dabbled in Gojira in the past, but this makes me want to dive back in. I think I’ll start with ‘Magma’!

Hello, very good video, I just know Gojira and its a very good and interesting band. I suggest to know and watch The Warning, a very good power trio of sisters from México, just the best trio today in rock music. Saludos desde México!

They've also made their own music replacement for a silent film called Maciste all'Inferno
I love that album (May 2003 if anyone else is reading), can hear the inspirations for many of their future tracks (Last Creation, Indians etc.). Their re-release of 'Inferno' is possibly my favourite Gojira track
