    Ramsdale just signed a new contract last year. He's worth what the club say he's worth. I'm sick of this mentality that we can't get money for players. We have bigger targets to prioritize than worry about low balls offers for Rammers.

      Why should we even think of selling him? What happens if Raya is injured or suspended? I sometimes wonder why we make commentary about everything. Man City have two equally good keepers. This is the team we are competing with. As soon as we try to build a little depth, our supporters start talking about selling players. If we want to compete with City, we must have 11 extra players who are as good as the first team.
      To those who talk about the national team Maguire is still playing for the England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 team even when he was sitting on the bench for United.

    Disagree with your opinion on Ramsdale. We shouod get at least 10 million over what we paid for him. He had a sensational last tear and his value went up quite a bit in the first year we competed for the title with him starting. His value did go down but it went down from THAT price (50-60) not from the value he was when we bought him

      @ikeraamkorana8574 Před 13 dny +3

      I am more proud of Arsenal for qualifying for champions league, being a top team again, winning top six clubs, being the best London team, I am more proud that we have a great coach after Wenger, and I am more proud on Edu getting the correct players in to ensure the club get to the top. Not winning any trophies is not an upset. Becayse when Arteta took over as coach the club was a mess, they had no direction, no culture and no winning spirit. So arsenal as club achieved alot without winning the league. And for me that's the greatest achievements, and create records too. We'll done Arteta, we'll done Edu, we'll done to our set piece coach, and we'll done to all arsenal players especially to saliba, Raya, rice, Harvertz, trossard and Oudegaard. They were the anchor in all our games.
      And I read Arteta had a 5 phase for arsenal, and we are ahead at phase 3, we now at phase 4, the plan was we supposed to be at that stage in 2025. But we are already at that phase in 2023. So that is a great achievement. That makes Arteta a great technical coach to achieve that in a shorter time period abd the fans still talk shit about Arteta and the club's achievements. If fans do not know what's the club's 5 phase plan is, then you won't understand anything about the club and the coach. We having a new coach, it's no longer Wenger and no longer Emery, it's new objectives, new plans and new culture. That means the fans must also change in thinking, believe, debate, conversation... Align with the club's new culture new plans, new objectives and what they achieved so far. There is so many evidence not even Arteta knew arsenal would be ready last year to challenge Man city nor was he knew arsenal will challenge man city again. Because he told the club owners arsenal will be ready to challenge in only 2025, that's why Arteta indicates arsenal is ahead of their 5 phase plan. So what if arsenal were only ready to challenge for the title in 2025, would the fans be satisfied, would the fans be patient towards Arteta? I don't think so. This fans is annoying, font know what they want and don't know Arsenal as club anymore. Arsenal is a new club, with new owners and new coach. Arsenal is completely different when the time of Wenger and emery, so the fans mindset must also change with the club.

  • @jabulaniskosana
    @jabulaniskosana Před 13 dny

    A player is worth what you willing to sell it for and what the buyer is willing to pay.it is not one sided.
    It's about equilibrium not necessarily perception.
    Newcastle want him at a certain price, Arsenal want a certain amount for him. Somewhere there's an equilibrium point.
    In the house analogy you make, there's a market based on houses in your same area that have recently sold. There's also valuations. You will be guided by those factors when setting your price and might add 20% or so. The buyer will negotiate from the value that you gave, the price of similar properties. So the will be a base point.
    I personally think a lot of people are overly simplistic in their analysis of value.
    If Newcastle want 80 million for Isak, Arsenal will negotiate closer to what Newcastle want even if they believe Isak is a 35 million player.
    Will Viera fetch 30 mil, No, why ? Because there's no market.
    Can Ramsdale fetch it?, Yes because a few teams are moving towards ball playing keepers and Aaron suites those attributes, that's why Newcastle and Chelsea will sniff around. Therefore you set your ball park price and you wait.

    Harry, why is that this is only the case with Arsenal? For example, we all know Aleksander Isak is super injury prone, and yet we wouldn't be able to buy him for anything less than what Newcastle bought him for. Kai Havertz a flop at Chelsea, cost us 60m plus. We all can agree the value can be determined not only by what they have done but what they can do in the future. We have to reassess our selling strategies as we are seen as too easy a club to deal with. Not to mention that a year before he was valued at 50m as the most valuable goalkeeper. There is no reason for undervaluation as he hasn't done anything wrong to cause that. He just doesn't suit Arsenal.

    harry there's no reason why we can't get at least the money we paid for him if not a good margin more, you speak about his value decreasing, which everyone can agree with, but what did his value decrease from? last summer he had the most increased value with a keeper valuation wise on the planet at 70m, not saying he was the best but that was his valuation but having become an england international there were articles about specifically that valuation, he then signed an extension which usually drives valuations higher, he then lost his position and had a mistake when he came on, if that loss of position means that he lost half his value in year (which is significant especially for a young keeper still to come into his peak) then 35m is still above what we got him for and makes the 15m sum you gave a mockery..

In fact, I am nervous when I hear he will be starting. If Im another club looking to pick up a new keeper, I would be concerned about his sharpness and confidence. - he just does not suit our system or else he is a good GK
    - we cannot and should not keep Ramsdale because he cannot be the ball playing GK we want
    - our back up gk needs to be a playing the same system as our main one , even if it’s not at the same level.
    Just My take

    If Arteta didn't want him, we should have sold him last summer. He was the most valuable goalkeeper at that time. Now we're selling him and barely making a profit off him. Arsenal need to learn to sell at the right time in order to be successful in the future. We can't keep buying big players and not making money off any sales

      I have to defend them on this one. The opportunity to sign Raya didn’t come up until later in the window. By that time they’d already agreed the new contract with Rambo.

      That’s the smart ruthlessly needed
      Should have cashed on him last year if we knew he wasn’t going to be the first choice gk

      If we get those amounts it will be a disgraceful performance from Edu

    Actually I got it wrong and I say we should get at least £25m for Rambo. Not being negative but Man City will just SMASH the hammers. I am sorry but West ham are fully on the beach now
