- In ancient Egypt, an evil sorcerer named Scarab, kills the pharaoh's son, Prince Rapses, so he can become immortal. Entombed alive for his crime (Rapses' body was also never found), Scarab revives in the modern world and begins his search for Rapses' reincarnation, a San Francisco-dwelling boy named Presley Carnovan to retrieve the spirit of Rapses' so he can become immortal. Rapses' (Presley's) bodyguards, Ja-Kal, Rath, Armon, and Nefer-Tina, along with Rapses' cat, Kahti, awake from the dead to protect him from Scarab. They use the power of Ra to transform into powerful guardians.

Yeah but the literally explained that it's like a phone charger. So long as it's charging, it never goes over 100 percent. Works for the mummies too

I missed this series, but looking back on it as an adult, man did this scream "90s toys marketing", but then again, that was pretty much all action based series in the 90s.

Tony Ellen I was pretty much the same, then I figured if I wear my school uniform to bed I wouldn’t need to cha he in the morning. Life hacked!!!! Until I got scolded by my parent why my uniform is always a mess. But worth it!!!

Deka Red considering the whole concept is an old cliche from anime, it's hard to say whose ripping off whom. Case in point, Voltron. Team suiting up, ultra mega fauna fighting robots that combine to form a humanoid fighting robot. and That show is old as hell and and it wasn't even the first to use the concept.

I think this is one of those shows that deserves a reboot. It had a decent premise that could really use some exploration.

Mummies Alive is another cartoon I remember from back in the 90's, which was pretty much my whole childhood. Ja-Kal and Nefertina were and are still my favorite mummies. Rath and Armon were funny though and were also very capable of kicking Tut, as they would say, when a situation called for it. Namely protecting Presley, the reincarnated Prince Rapses.
Scarab was such a twisted, ancient villain who could have given Jafar a run for his money in heinous ugliness.
The only bummer about this series was that it only lasted for like two seasons. It would have been interesting to see where it could have gone if there were more seasons, maybe Presley would have been a few years older, and the stakes could have been raised not just for him but his bandaged guardians. But it was still enjoyable while it lasted.

What where u doing with a black and white tv in the mid 90s lol that’s some bull shiet u either had a tv or didn’t have 1 but TVs where everywhere at the point this was on there where just those old 1s that had the wood structure around it and weigh 500 pounds lol good ole fashion TVs it’s like there where built to never be moved

Damn this is a flashback to when I was 7. Kid gets 3 bladed boomerang, badass main mummy can fly. I forget about the cat. 7am Saturday morning was the greatest time in the 90,s. You wake up early on Saturday and it's badass anime of the time.
