We Finally Watched GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL 2
Director: James Gunn
Writer: James Gunn, Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning
Stars: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista
Genre: Action, Adventure, Comedy
Release Date: 2017-05-05
The Guardians struggle to keep together as a team while dealing with their personal family issues, notably Star-Lord's encounter with his father, the ambitious celestial being Ego. - Zábava
He may been your father boy but he wasn't your daddy.
an eyelash got in my eye at this exact moment, so embarrassing
I wasn't cryin'....you were!
@@ThaDopist ouch
Damn Skippy!
Goku maybe Gohan's Father, but Piccolo raised Gohan.
Took my step-father to see this on Father's Day shortly before he passed away. It was like the perfect Hallmark card for the occassion.
Oh, so sorry for your loss. Such a nice present for your stepfather. :)
May he rest among the stars
Yondu tells Rocket that when he figured out what Ego was doing to his offspring, is when he decided to keep Quill. Peter’s tiny hands “are good for thieving” is what he tells his crew, but his true reasons are far more honorable. He is of course guilty of kidnapping some of Ego’s other children, but the longer he kept Quill, the more Pete became like a son to him.
It’s a quirky, but beautiful story of redemption. Yondu is one of the MCU’s best characters - and hats’ off to actor Michael Rooker to bringing him to life is such a fun way.
“When I first picked you up on Terra (Earth), these boys of mine wanted to eat you! They ain’t never tasted Terran before. I saved your life, boy!” - Yondu.
It goes back to the end of GotG1 when Yondu tells Kraglin "Yeah, he was an @$$hole".
The Infinity Saga will forever remain one of the most successful and satisfying films sagas in history. So happy we got a complete beginning, middle, and end, and nothing can ever change that.
Then they had to ruin it and continue after endgame.

Love this trilogy so much. Can’t wait for the next MCU reaction
The "OG Guardians" are, in fact, supposed to be the MCU version of the original Guardians of the Galaxy team (They first appeared in 1969 and had their own comic run in the 1970s.) - Stakar "Starhawk" Ogord (Stallone), Martinex T'naga (Rosenbaum), Charlie - 27 (Rhames), Aleta Ogord (Yeoh).
Thank you for sharing this info 😊
Missing is Vance Astro….though I think he was tied with Fox when this came out
And Mainframe (Miley Cyrus) although she was later recast with Tara Strong

@@Meepie_Playz Wtf are you doing in this comment section then? Gtfo
Yondu was kicked iut for dealing in children, not for failing to deliver peter.
Adam is a really big character in the comics. He is celestial space jesus superman and a lot of comicbooks revolve around him.
The reason this movie is so heartfelt and deals with quills daddy issues is because during the production, Chris Pratt’s father passed away. Hence the song that played at the end when groot wants to listen to the music aswell. Great reaction again guys🖤
I have a friend who was an extra in this movie. You can see him twice, once in the woods when the dudes are getting thrown around by Rocket, the other when guys are falling in slow motion during Yondu and Rocket's escape. Apparently he got to get dressed up as a Ravager and spent the whole day falling onto cushions for the camera, and they just reversed some of those shots to make the effect of them being shot into the air by rockets traps. The shot of him from the escape sequence is my favorite though, because if you slow it down you can clearly see that he is smiling while he falls because it was so much fun.
Shout out to my boy, Gary!
Edit: Oh shit! You have him in the reaction, when I got to the escape there he was. 16:32 the guy falling in the background is Gary! Super nice dude.
That’s super cool thanks for sharing 😃
I get a kick out of how Rocket was losing his mind because Groot kept wanting to push the Doom button. 😂🤣☠️
"Why does he remind me of the OG Guardians?" Because they are. A lot of that group was the original Guardians lineup, from the comics.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017).
Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017),
Thor: Ragnarok (2017),
Black Panther (2018),
Avengers: Infinity War (2018),
Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018),
Captain Marvel (2019),
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019).
Yep EVERYTHING AFTER THAT IS NOT WORTH THE TIME NOR EFFORT TO WATCH

No Way Home, Shang-Chi, Guardians 3, WandaVision, Falcon & Winter Solider, etc.
Shang chi, Doctor Strange 2, Wakanda Forever, Thor 4, and Quantumania
Ving Rhames and Tiny Lester are two different people lol
Losing my dad to alcoholism, this movie breaks me everytime. The first one does so because my mom passed from cancer. I understand Peter.
Please accept my belated condolences on the passing of beloved mother and the loss of your father to that dreadful disease, alcoholisn is destructive in so many, too many,.. ways. I found tears streaming down my face when Yondu died in the movie, I can imagine how it must've hit you even more profoundly.
@@richcarrCCC thank you.
That was not the bully from Friday. The bully was Tiny Lister Jr. The actor in this movie was Ving Rhames. He is from Mission Impossible, Pulp Fiction, Con Air, Dawn of the Dead and The People Under the Stairs.
The first sign ego was evil was literally his name. So many miss the fact it's ego, so his explanation of wanting to spread across the galaxy makes more sense
Tommy Lister was the actor from Friday as Deebo. The actor you confused him with was Ving Rhames.
I was looking for this comment. I’m still laughing at the Wayne Brady comment for Chiwetel Ejiofor’s character in Dr. Strange😂
you guys are gonna love the third one whenever you get to it. its one of my favorite marvel movies of all time. one of my favorite just movies.
Bautista is amazing in these movies, so fun.
The Guardians trilogy is 🔥👌

@@Meepie_PlayzI don't get it.
Why do you feel the need to share your Trash and wrong opinion?
Marvel sucks, and this one is rare exception.
Literally my favorite Marvel movie out of the entire Mcu. In my humble opinion this movie absolutely surpassed the first one.
This is an unpopular opinion for a reason 🤣
And I'm guessing you haven't seen guardians 3 yet? Lol
@@iamworthy1302 I saw it in theaters a few days ago. After that I rewatched the frist two.
@@hayfrand5094 what would you rate it
@@iamworthy1302 I'm still deciding. Whenever I see a movie in theaters I am super hyped about it it for the next few days like "yoo this is the best movie ever" and after a while it cools off. But I definitely loved it. (I cried in the theater)
Thank you so much . I’ve been going to a tough time and your channel and your MCU’s reactions bring me back to a beautiful time , I thank you so much . Keep up the great work y’all. ❤
That wasn’t Deebo, from Friday. That was Ving Rhames
Boy slacking OD 😂 he did the same thing in Doctor Strange
man this movie isnt fair, the song at Yondu's funeral is the song that was played at my grandad's funeral and it always get me teary
I just found you guys yesterday and binge watched all of your MCU content. I really enjoy the reactions. You 2 have a fun energy and a really cool enthusiasm for these movies that keeps it entertaining. I’m excited to see your reaction to the rest of the MCU (especially the Infinity Saga).
It’s fun to watch people experience these films for the first time, especially when the reactions are this cool.
Can't wait til you guys get to Vol. 3. It's next level.
When is it coming out when movie reactors watch it?
@@wingman5100 My guess would be some time in August or possibly September. It's been in theaters now for over a month and they're starting to pull it from various locations in my area.
@@IcedEarth426 I'm def going to try and see it in theaters this week. I need to watch Quantumania first, which in on Disney+, thankfully.
@@TedBrogan Enjoy, it's a blast and worth every penny. I'm trying to see it one more time before it leaves theaters!
@@IcedEarth426 I agree I think it may be the best one imo, which says a lot because I think all 3 are very strong.
Just FYI - that wasn't Tiny Lister (the bad guy from Friday). That was Ving Rhames, from Pulp Fiction and the Mission Impossible movies 👍🏼
No wrong.... Ravegers doesn't deal with kids which was clearly said in the movie. So Yondu broke the code by dealing aka traficking aka kidnapping many many kids that are Ego's. Quill is just lucky Yondu kept him instead.
That was actually the original Guardians of the Galaxy before this iteration. In the comics they were a really weird team of “Avengers from the future” pretty much
My absolute favorite of the MCU. Somehow made Yondu my favorite character. Amazing.
The way Henry Braham uses colors is out of this world
Did you know that he's also behind the FLASH?
I don't think you quite got it. Ego is the planet. The old guy is just an animated meat puppet he creates to interact with mortals.
You nailed it. Those were the OG Guardians, at least they were in the comic books.
The Ravagers were created for the movies, but are loosely based on the Starjammers. The Starjammers were basically the same thing: pirates who sometimes did good, sometimes bad, but more focused on anti-slavery. Every member of the Starjammers is an ex-slave. The Starjammers mostly operate in Shi'ar territory (a different galactic power that has not turned up in the movies yet).
"Tiny" cameo at the end wasn't the late 'Tiny' Lister from Friday... Was Ving Rhames (all the Mission Impossible movies) 😁
Also Ving Rhames was Marcellus Wallace...in Pulp Fiction.
@@johnathanstruble1064 Also from Arby's. WE GOT THE MEAT!
@@TedBrogan Have it your way.
The King.
@@johnathanstruble1064 I love it!
@@TedBrogan back attcha Bro. ✌️😁
The actor who played Deebo the bully in the movie Friday is portrayed by the late Tommy “Tiny”Lister Jr, the actor in here is Ving Rhames.
The series “LEGION” that was on FX is my favorite Marvel series, Daredevil and Jessica Jones is top notch ✌
Can;t wait for Spiderman: Homecoming next in the MCU! Don't forget to get back to some of those X-Men movies. You stopped after the first one, there are 12 more in that universe to go. Plus you have the two Andrew Garfield Amazing Spider-Man movies you will eventually want to see.
Not really a big spoiler tbh but, Adam is Adam Warlock. Ayesha (played by the fantastic, imo, Elizabeth Debicki) says "...I shall call him...Adam" In a weird way, this actually contains a little Easter egg. "HIM" was the original name for Adam Warlock in the comics. But you have a ways to go before you get there. And most of the movies you still have on that journey are FANTASTIC. Enjoy.
Everytime I watch that Yando moment it always brings a tear 😢
Adam warlock in the comics was the one who had the mindstone instead of vision and is incredibly powerful, you are in for treat when volume 3 comes round 🔥💯
no, it was the soul stone
soul stone*
Next, Spider-Man Homecoming.
31:00 no, thats Ving Rhames, not Tommy Lister Jr who was Deebo in Friday
Yondu was exiled because he was taking kids that were thought to be related to ego and taking them to his planet he stopped with Quill when he found out what ego was doing
One of the most emotional endings in the mcu.
Such an underrated MCU film…
Adam warlock is in the credit ending. He's kind of a superman of marvel
That’s Ving Rhames bro he wasn’t in Friday.. That was Tiny Liston
Vol. 2 and Vol. 3 came out on the same day 6 years apart.
TO be fair, at this point on the scoreboard, they've held an Infinity stone, taken out Ronan The Accuser, And Ego The Celestial.... Not sure where else you are in the MCU, but yeah, if the Ravagers didn't come out and respect What Yondu helped do, I mean, what do you do to get a ravager funeral??? So glad he got it :)
I saw GOTG3 in theaters and it was INCREDIBLE. I cried and laughed and was in awe the entire time. You'll love it!
The guardians are always a fun Ride to see
So enjoyable
Cant wait for The third One it's gonna be so Sick thanks Guys for this as always
You guys absolutely have to react to the holiday special. Lots of great stuff. Cheers.
Yes! I loved it . Added it to my Christmas movie list lol
The father/daddy quote always gets me
We should all be so blessed to have a father like , Yondu ; my brother and I were not - and , somehow , our mother was worse - I wish you all better
Hey! He was not in the movie Friday. That was Ving Rhames from Mission Impossible as Luther.
He was also on Baby Boy and Dawn of the Dead.
The end of this movie just wrecks me. Brilliant reaction guys!
Adam is the “perfect creation”, the most refined version of the Sovereign (gold people). That’s spoiler free because it doesn’t end up being cut and dry.
CHAINS ⛓️ FROM FLEETWOOD MAC WAS THE PERFECT SONG FOR THAT MOMENT....
Always love your reactions 😊
Damn I guess I’m old. It hurt me when they didn’t recognize a Microsoft zune.
Yondu's funeral was the most spectacular thing to see in theaters.
-You are most certainly wrong!! 🤣🤣🤣 He wasn't in Friday... He was in Pulp Fiction...
-Also, Adam, well, let's just say he got a lot of comic book people excited when they said his name....😏😁
She scared the crap out of me at the beginning with the "Whats good" and the clap! Gotta turn down my headphones...LMAO

You know what's funny is this movie is only 6 years old and you didn't get the joke that he gave him a Zune. They were already obsolete and discontinued when this movie was made and now people don't even remember they were a thing that existed lol
I was one of the few that didn't care all that much for the first one, but I LOVE this one!
Nebula : and I just wanted a sister...
Vince : Awww...
Honestly, Vinces reaction proper get me...
Adam is Adam Warlock, and you will see him later....way later. Spiderman Homecoming is next and then things pick up even more from there.
I am enjoying your Marvel cinematic journey!
Love and peace you two.
The sadness I Peter a voice was real. Chris lost his own father right before filming this movie
The funny thing is that Sylvester Stallone's group is in fact OG Guardians of The Galaxy in the comics
Rocket is HILARIOUS 😂
You vuys are awesome on your reactions, but please do not skip the order of the releases, each one builds on the next , all to come together for The Final two Avenger movies. The pay off is Epic.
Get out the box of tissues for this movie.
I just realized that the old man in the blue car who says “no way” at 27:35 is Quills grandfather
I need yall to watch volume 3 asap!
Hey Guys, love your reactions and analysis', if you both haven't already, I recommend watching 'The Fifth Element'! If you do, hope you enjoy.
Love your reactions!!!!
But no, that was NOT the late Tony "Tiny" Lister aka "Deebo" from Friday. LMMFAO!!! That was Ving Rhames from Pulp Fiction, Casualties of War, Mission Impossible 1&2, Baby Boy, Undisputed, hell, you name it.
Naw that's not the bully from Friday but he was in Baby Boy....the one that was choking out Tyrese! 😂😂
This movie is all about adult survivors of child abuse.
I'm pretty sure this is an accident, but this series of films have themes that build on one another.
Guardians 2: bad fathers
Thor Ragnarok: bad fathers, colonialism
Black Panther: bad fathers, colonialism, racism
If they did that on purpose, that was super impressive.
For the record, I could watch Rocket attack pirates for an entire movie.
Next up: Spider-Man Homecoming
Adam is Adam warlock in the comics. He is captain marvel powerful
The 3rd one gonna take you both thru the ringer
No that wasn't Deebo (Tiny Zeus Lister Jr). It was Ving Rhames, from the Mission Impossible movies and Pulp Fiction.
Not Deebo from Friday (Tom "Tiny" Lister), but rather Ving Rhames.
Zune was a real product. I remember my cousin had one.
The most hilarious and comedic film in the entire MCU. It managed to put so many comedic elements into so many scenes even though some of the scenes were suppose to be serious action and not comedic in nature.
and Vol 3 starts on Disney+ on Aug 2..... probably the last GotG.
Thanks for another, you two!
If you aren't comics-knowledgeable, then it's no surprise that you're scratching your heads about "Adam". In the source material, he's way important and hearing that name, from an alien race who looks like that, was a big deal for the comics fans. You'll just have to wait and see what kind of character he turns out to be.
I believe the next for you is either "Spider-Man: Homecoming" or "Thor: Ragnarok". Enjoy!
Haven’t got to it yet and I known Kraglin is going to make me cry.
Yep
Adam referes to Adam Warlock who is one of the most powerful characters in Marvel.
