Probably best that he didn't. He would've lost since that would prompt the inquisitor to use his lightsaber and actually kill him.
This chase proves a point: against an adult with padawan level training and an alien with no force abilities the Inquisitors easily take the fight. But against a true, and one of maybe a half dozen remaining, Jedi they are tossed about like ragdolls.
+Jacob Sailer Honestly I thought the Seventh Sister put up a pretty decent fight against Ahsoka. She could probably take on an average Jedi knight from back during the Republic era. The Fifth Brother kinda sucks though.

Ian Rosas When they first introduced the characters, I figured the Fifth Brother would be better in a direct lightsaber fight, while the Seventh Sister would be quicker on her feet and utilize her drones for hit-and-run attacks. But it seems she's just better than the Fifth Brother all around.

Probably because his Bo-Rifle isn’t made of lightsaber resistant material like the electro staffs the Magna Guards had during the Clone Wars.
It's also possible that the staff wouldn't be the best weapon in such close spaces.
Plus that would make the inquisitor actually have to use their light saber and kill him
They were jus distracting the Inquisitors until Ezra gets the child away and not a actually beat them

Kanan and Zeb act wisely by taking a detour to buy more time for Ezra.
Why does the fifth brother's lightsaber sound more like Vader's than a regular inquisitor lightsaber (listen closely when he moves it and when he turns it on and off)

rebels is... overall a nice series, but it has COUNTLESS flaws, among them one of the big ones is, well, blatant and boring plot armor

+Heds123 The thing is, if he gets up close he can still dodge the lightsabre(he's quite good t hand to hand, but the Fifth Brother used the force) but if he uses his blaster he might hit Kenan or get them defelcted back into his face.

+Jason Kurosu We know that the Grand Inquisitor was a Jedi temple guard, so it isn't unlikely that the others had a conection to the jedi aswell. I don't what this has to do with TMNT though.

Yes because in the 1993 Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Tommy’s clone once says “Let's face it - we all have our dark sides.” This was a subtle foreshadowing to the fact that the inquisitors are former Jedi in the 2014 Star Wars: Rebels.
