Israel was the first non-European country to participate in the competition, way back in 1973, and has since won four times.
But its placement in this year's final has incensed many previously-devoted viewers.

That is just ignoring key context. NONE of this started with October 7th. That was a horrible day, and the hostages still in captivity MUST be released. But to pretend the Palestinian people started this all by their lonesome is to be willfully and woefully ignorant of the facts.
