Tears came to my eyes to hear three beautiful voices such a young ages Who cared enough about the music of my time understand the significance and make that video. I picked up my first guitar in 1963 and I've never put it down and when the music of Laurel Canyon started coming out and the singer songwriters came into my ear and I had the British invasion and the singer songwriters all the same time That became my life blood it has been that way oh my life and now that I'm 73 it will take me to the end of my life. So I thank you and I love to know that there are people like you out there to "carry-on" ... peace.

I have been a CSN fan for many years. When I found your cover it made me compare all of the covers I could find on you tube. Your voices are blended the best. The tempo fits your blend. It also feels real as opposed to an engineered product. I am now a fan.

I been playing and singing all 3 part Harmony's on this song since it came out around 1970...this is without a doubt the best version and so close to the original it is magic...the female on Nash's top part was a great idea...the picking is almost exactly as stills does it...even though stills never does it the same way twice...I should know as I have seen them 6 times

Don Rice you said you've been playing this sing for several yrs.why is it that I'm seeing so many more covering this song lately.not that I'm complaining at all because csn and csny are an awesome group and I live this sing to,just seems like it's really become very popular lol.
I also noticed in one of csn video that stills when he plays the g chord that he wraps his thumb around to hit the bass G.how often do you see people do that lol.this group did an awesome job and csn would be proud of it for sure.would like to hear your rendition of it to.i couldn't do it unless I dropped it down a couple keys because I sing more bass baritone lol
Yeah, this version is pretty nice. I'd say the harmony is much closer than most other covers I've heard, though I hesitate to say that it's very close to the original. I just again listened to the original CSN, and am struck by how much these guys were pros at creating such a smooth, rich harmony by that time in their careers. Stills the steady base, Nash flying high, and Crosby the subtle clutch; topping the cake. I feel that Crosby's part is the hardest to get right, making the difference between feeling satisfying-sexy or falling a little flat.
I covered this song in my first band,1977-1981. I was sure we did it better than anyone I had ever heard. Now, maybe not so much...
