I love my Ultra. The size does not bother me at all…just like any other chunky watch. I love the larger, flat screen and better battery life. I sleep in it with not issues. I got it with the Trail Loop band and it’s super comfortable and dries quickly. I feel like I would not buy a smaller version even if it was offered.
I got mine today and im lovin it. Some say it looks weird to wear huge watch for women but i like things that makes me weird and thats where i get my confidence from.
I like when women wear black pantyhose idk if that makes me weird or not
I’m a woman and think it’s *AWESOME!* With the trail loop it’s actually not much heavier than wearing two elastic bands on your wrist! It’s even comfortable enough to sleep whilst wearing it. 👌

Great video Jenna. I must admit earlier on with the Apple Watch Ultra when I seen them on videos I thought they looked ridiculous on small wrists, but as time went on, they have certainly grown on me, to the point where I am probably going to order the Apple Watch Ultra next time they are updated. I expect the size difference on how it looked and feels on my wrist, after a few days of wearing it, I would be used with it, and not really notice how large it looked on my wrist anymore.
I love this watch. I’ve had it for two weeks. I also have small wrists. I bought the navy ocean band and the black/gray alpine loop. I upgraded from the Series 6.
My orange Alpine gets dirty too but I just get some Dawn on a toothbrush, scrub it and then run it under warm water and it looks great after that. Seems to last about a week before it needs cleaning. I need a yellow Alpine loop too, hope they make one soon.
I love my ultra I have a medium size rest for a man and even mine looks big on me which is great and it’s helped me with my health a lot. I would recommend this watch if they can afford it for everyone. as always, I love your stuff with love from the Carson family to your family.

I love this watch. I bought mine on release day and i have several apple watches and this is the only one i use now. I was cycling my two watches but no i just use this one. I love it. And i am a woman.

Just catching up with the recent tech and was wondering would you you change it for the Ultra 2. I currently have the Series 7 41mm and was looking at the Ultra but not sure if I should get the 1 or 2 as there is a price difference now. I do have a Garmin Fenix 7S Pro Solar Sapphire so for any really long activities I can use that but really like the Ultra as an alternative to my normal apple watch. What would you suggest?
The biggest issue I have with some of the bands is the metal clasp system. It was scratching my desk, scratching my laptop and it caught on things unexpectedly. I switched to a band without the metal clasp system, and everything is ok now.
I picked up a braided loop band. No hardware to scratch anything and very comfortable. Just be sure to buy the right size.
I have the Apple Watch Series 8 and I love tracking the temperature sensor!!

It is for women like me who love bigger watch faces. I missed my old Fossil watches that were bigger and chunkier, that’s my preference. And I’m in love with the Ultra!!! I will never go back to the standard 🍎 watch.

I sleep wearing mine every night for the sleep tracking and it doesn’t bother me at all, but I could never sleep in my series 3 or 7 for some reason, just didn’t feel comfortable and I was worried I’d break it.

It’s the best watch ever and I am coming from a 7nike 45mm and a SE 44mm! I still wear those but I never leave my house without my Ultra!

Oh it's new - oh how great! That it is way too big and heavy, no one says here!
It can't be worn 24/7. Sleep recording is totally uncomfortable with the Ultra.
When training in the gym, the Ultra disturbs normal exercises.
You hardly notice the Series 8. It is half the weight and also smaller.
49mm is like wearing a clock on my wrist😂 I went for the s8 in 45mm that’s the max I could go. Although I’m an athlete, I do hiking, running and am a triathlete but I think s8 is sufficient for all these activities 😅
What size is your Alpine Loop Jenna?
Yeah it looks quite weird, I think it's also a ultra watch for extreme sports so .....
But normal use a Xiaomi Redmi lite, applewatch small or a Amazfit Gt or something looks better wrist sise, maybe you should go Fitbit for even smaller sises and become more zen with yourself.
I also find a lot of watches to high and thick, the first ZenWatch 1,2,3 were very thin, same as lg style , the first MK acces had a flat back witch is nice on the wrist.
My Denver c5S import also fitted better then my Amazfit X.
But when it comes to fit my MK acces with super flexible stretch band fits the most tight on my wrist(only because the strap) I like smaller fitness bands there fit, but there back needs to be a flat I think, unless you're arms are more fat.
The big bulky look us quite annoying on tiny thin wrist
And it needs a standard flexible rubber strap with standard watch lock function for the perfectly fitted smartwatch and the ultimate fit around you're wrist.
Because yours look fucking weird device with the grey band you have!

I love the Alpine loop, but I have the green and and it doesn’t show dirt. I’m sure it’s filthy, but you cannot tell.

The 49mm is just too big for most. I tried this watch on at the Apple Store and it is way too massive. A smaller size would be great

Love my Ultra. Best Apple Watch I’ve ever owned.
I’m still on the fence! I have a Series 6 SS 41mm. Petite person with a small wrist. Those saying the ultra is too big are forgetting that some have OLD EYES. It’s getting hard to see some of the watch features on the smaller model even with glasses. If I can make calls easier and access safety features like the siren, it’s worth it. Wait, did I just talk myself into a purchase?
Believe me your eyes will love the bigger screen. I’m almost 70 years young and the smaller watches I just don’t enjoy like I do my new Ulta!

The Apple Ultra watch is indeed a big watch. This watch is definitely only for people who like big watches, regardless of whether the wearer is a man or a woman. I have one. I like big watches. Many people do not.

Good for them for liking this watch. I could never want to carry that weight and size especially while working out. I already feel like 14 pro max is close to being unreasonably heavy.

I am a huge fan of mechanical watches which tend to get heavy as well but I’m only wearing those for social events couple of hours at a time. I am still rocking my series 6 since launch and I was hoping to upgrade this year but 8 is not nearly as compelling imo.

Apple Watch ultra is designed for niche market, people who do certain things.
I do recreational dive, and for me dive computers are more expensive and it can’t do things Apple Watch can do like reply messages, play songs in my AirPod read email and many more things we do in our smart phones.
For me Apple Watch is for both men and women who do certain sports activities. Assuming people who do those things do have healthy body, so yeah their wrist may not be small.
I think many tech reviewers misunderstood the concept of Apple Watch ultra is for.

LOL I have tiny wrist (13.5cm) and I've been using my Ultra for the past few weeks on many runs and also during sleep. The black trail band was not too stable for runs because the heavy watch face will move around if it's not tightened enough and once it gets wet it takes long time to dry. I've since changed to some knocked off nike brands if I need to go for a run. I have no problem wearing the watch to sleep I just got used to it immediately.

The watch is definitely too big for a woman’s wrist, but if you are a woman who don’t care about having a massive watch on your wrist, go for it. Apple will not release a ‘smaller’ version of the Ultra, unless they replace the current Series 8 design (which is way overdue) and make a ‘Pro’ model similar to the Ultra but with less features, smaller size, and same price as Series 8, but keep the SE model with its design and price. It will make more sense but we’ll see what they will release.

Try just use oxygen color safe bleach to completely submerge the Watch band and soak it for a while. It will become brand new ago.

I love the Apple Watch Ultra
The Ultra is not for most women, but also about 50% of men. Given the 49mm case size; that translates to a minimum wrist of 7” to proportionally support this watch.
The average man’s wrist is 6.75” to 7.00” … traditional watch size being anything smaller than 45mm. Hence why TAG, Breitling, Patek, Tudor/Rolex, & reputable brands sell mostly watches cased at 39mm to 44mm. I can barely pull-off the Ultra w/ 7.25” wrist & probably won’t buy one for this reason.
It's difficult to use an argument here as most reviews are paid by Apple.

The size of the watch isn’t for anyone with small wrists, regardless of gender. It looks enormous on Jenna’s wrist and would look even worse on mine. Hope they make a smaller version even if it gets slightly less battery life.
I love it. Struggled at first if I liked it only bc of size-changed the band from the alpine band to a Nike band. That alpine band sucks lol. Ultimately I stuck with it bc I usually put a case on my watch & I don’t have to do that with the ultra.
Ugh what sucks about the Alpine band?? I just bought the Ultra w/ it. 😭

the issue is that it's based off of watch os, which feels really behind the curve. Like you can put it in the bulkiest fanciest package ever but three watch faces isn't going to make a prototype any better
