Yay! I won a free copy of this game. Thanks for the runthrough. I no longer can learn a game without them!

Thanks for the run through, Richard. I had watched a couple of reviews on this game, and hadn't really seen the appeal. Watching your video made me reconsider. Much more interesting when you get to watch a few turns.

At 15:57 the island with the mountain is completely surrounded: To be able to build there you would first need to use the tile that lets you remove boats, then place at least one boat next to the island since you can only build on an island next to a boat you placed that turn.

ahha! i knew there would have to be a goof in here somewhere... i was shocked when paulo said he didn't find any mistakes! :)

Well, you didn't end up building there so the goof was just theoretical :)

I think this masterpiece is now out of print. 😭
Great run runthrough of the game btw, this is one of my favourites. Bruno Cathala does the best games hands down.

I've seen a few preview pictures and it looked kind of dull. But now seeing it played, I am totally interested. I like the way those boat action tiles move. Thanks for the runthrough.

Minor technicality for 2 players, but at 3:45 (from rulebook) - In a 2-player game, take one meeple per player, shuffle them and place them on spots #1 and #2, then repeat the same order for spots #3 and #4. So the 3rd and 4th meeples should be in the same order as the 1st and 2nd.

I'm not so keen on the recycled Quadropolis-style tiles and the Five Tribes red "X"s on the specialists and blue numbers on the special powers cards... The Asian-style artwork is great, but why the lack of effort on the other components? The board could use a little more love, a little more theme. Seems like this game was rather rushed in the art department. : /
