    This may be the most frantic explanation of a worker placement game ever committed to video.

    This was my game of GenCon 2018. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. By the time I got around to it they had been long sold out, but I'm going to get my hands on a copy as soon as possible.

    Wow, new favorite board game artist. Really cohesive, functional, and fun design, top to bottom. Hopefully other German publishers will take notice of their increased success.

      Personally not a fan and think adding a splash of primary colour is a bit of a cheap trick. Cannot argue that it certainly looks good but everything lacks depth for me.

    This game is so good!
    Each dice draft decision has so many things to think about at the same time. My brain kinda hurt after my play of it... but in a good way

    I love this, I already have so many dice placement/drafting euro games. Grand Austria, Lorenzo, Marco Polo. This seems along similar lines, but it looks so good! Extremely tempted to also pick this one up...

      I will be waiting for Newton instead. Coimbra doesn't seem to differentiate itself enough apart from a nice colour palette, some pure dice drafting in a Euro and some excellent dice components.

      I m between Coimbra and two games you mentioned (Marco Polo, Lorenzo) plus Orleans for my next game. Do you have any suggestion? Thank you.

      Manos I got Coimbra just recently but have owned Marco Polo for a while now. I enjoy both of them a lot. Coimbra is a bit more challenging, because of all the different character cards, I’d say. The two games share a lot of similarities, but I didn’t find that a bad thing.

      @@arkoudanthrope thank you very much for your response. So pls, if i was to get only one of the Coimbra or Marco Polo, which one would be your suggestion, at least as a first buy? Thanks!

    Absolutely great video to watch before playing a physical copy. Question. At 21:40, are you not supposed to move only 2 on the VP track?

      Please turn on the Klingon subtitles like Rahdo asked at the start of the video... if you did you would've seen a Subtitle appear on the screen at that point saying that it should be 2 points instead of 3...
      And you caught that one, there were a couple more goofs that since you didn't comment I'm guessing you also didn't catch! So, when watching a video like this on this channel always turn on the Klingon subtitles so that you see on screen when goofs happen!
      Cheers

    36:21 you get a point for putting your disk down. Because of the second one that you put your disk down on. Mabe im playing it wrong though.

      your timestamp isn't correct, the video only has 36:20 so he can't make an error on 36:21 :p

    Actually, Jen wouldn't have been able to take the gray character with the 3 die either since the dummy character would have had first choice with the 5 die, and would have taken the most valuable character farthest left, which was the character Jen wanted. The dummy player would have taken it rather than Jen.

    Only 4 rounds of this seems so underwhelming. The cards you pick will activate only 1 to 4 times each and you collect less than a dozen of them. Barely any time to build an engine. Pulsar 2849 seems like a much more interesting dice drafting game to me.

    Coimbra is still one of the best universities in the world, not 'at the time'. Come on man... lol

    • @cbazler
      @cbazler Před 5 lety +2

      According to both CWUR and several other university ranking sites, the University of Coimbra ranks No. 3 among universities in Portugal. It's consistently ranked somewhere around No. 400 worldwide. You can make of that what you will.

    • @peji911
      @peji911 Před 5 lety +2

      C Bazler yeah, it’s apparently ranked that low. Until you look at what is considered in these studies. One of which is income post education which is why schools in Portugal don’t register highly in these ‘studies’. Any country with this type of economy will struggle in studies that directly correlate to wealth
