And in their fists clutch iron bars
With which to seal his fate
Across his chest is scabbards rest
The rows of throwing knives
Whose razor points in challenged tests
Have finished many lives
Now facing one another
The stand-off eats at time
Then all at once a silence falls
As the bell ceases its chime
Upon this sign the challengers
With shrieks and cries rush forth
The knives fly out like bullets
Upon their deadly course
Screams of pain and agony
Rent the silent air
Amidst the dying bodies
Blood runs everywhere
The figure stands expressionless
Impassive and alone
Unmoved by this victory
And the seeds of death he's sown
Sworn to avenge
Condemn to hell
Tempt not the blade
All fear the Sentinel
Rent the silent air
Amid the dying bodies
Blood runs everywhere
The figure stands expressionless
Impassive and alone
Unmoved by his victory
And the seeds of death he's sown
(Chorus)
Bonjovi Beater...so proud to be BRITISH when I see this!
I would've given anything to see them in their prime. This lineup was their best lineup ever, hands down. Tipton and Downing were the best dual guitars in metal history, imo.
i was there.......i heard this song on the tour that had it on the album, defenders of the faith..........tickets $15 from a scalper
My first concert was Defenders then I got to see them twice on this tour, both shows were great.
I saw them on the Defenders tour, they were incredible
The most evil sounding opening riff ever!
+walker8476 That goes to The Ripper or Black Sabbath.
+walker8476 Dissident Aggressor has a far more foreboding / evil opening than this. Both amazing songs though.
walker8476 I've seen them in the early 80's till 2000's his never had changed!
I think Five Magics sounds very evil.
What's an "opening riff"? Ear ghosts say Iron Man...
The solo exchange between KK and Tipton is epic. Halford conducting makes it even better.
Defenders of the faith is definitely in the top 5 best metal albums of all time
Judas Priest made me fall in love with metal music in the early 80s!
the showmanship, the Shakepearean acting, the engagement of the auidence.. he did it all for us... saw him 7 times... he really did care for his audience... the best performer ever...
That high pitched scream in this one is rad
Hello!!! How are you doing today, please pardon me for intruding into your privacy but I just wanted to know if you’re a fan ? Have a great day… Stay Safe
how can someone actually not like this???
quintessential dad rock. the best of its kind
My god, his voice was so good- His vocals were on point, can’t believe he was able to do this live!
True Heavy Metal was born!!!
Rob is 100% in it to win it every time he hits the stage.
The best heavy metal band on earth
My favorite Priest song of them all and they have loads of great songs.
i 2nd that
Mine also. Its the perfect metal song.Halford is the best metal singer period.
Yup! There is just something so epic about this tune. Freewheel Burning and Painkiller are my other top favs
This is killer ... But I prefer Electric Eye.....
It was Freewheel Burning that got me into Priest back in the 80's.
It was Donny across the street that got me into Motorhead by loaning me his Ace Of Spades tape.
(he did get it back)
RIP Lemmy
40 years later he still roars
Priest really needs to invite KK back. He's a founding member and ready to work.
One of my top 5 favorites. I can listen to this band until CZcams wears out.
