Quintessential heavy metal. I'm 67 years old and still listening to this stuff. I've co-evolved with the Priest and Black Sabbath. This music never gets old. Rock On!
I (arguably) state that Priest invented industrial strength heavy metal! Sure Kiss was there but they were true only to the bottom line where Priest blew past them to the next level!
My daddy was born in 1947 and he loved it when I took him to a Judas Priest concert in 2004. He actually wouldn't shut up about it for months and every time I saw him afterwards he told me thank you Michael for taking me to see Judas Priest.
@@kevinmcguinness1113 Tipton is the better player in Priest ( but music is not sport, and there is no "better" really, just what makes you feel and enjoy) so I would wonder what Adrian and Glenn would sound like together!
Seen this show from 1st row. My life hasnt been the same since. KK handed me his pick and i got very emotional. That was the last time i got to see KK play with Judas Priest. I dont care what anyone says. This line up of Judas Priest was the best heavy metal band to ever exist and always will be.
1980 was an especially good year for metal. British Steel, Back in Black, Iron Maiden's debut, Ace of Spades by Motorhead, Def Leppard's debut album, too many others to list.
@@micwilliams7743 When I saw him play Hell Patrol from this concert (or a similar one from the same tour) my jaw dropped. He was super fluid and smooth.

You know, back in the 1980s, I took metal for granted, meaning I thought it would just always be around since it was and is the greatest music there has every been. I never suspected such garbage like grunge and especially rap would capture people's attention the way it did. Blind Faith love the fuck out of priest but I've always hated living after midnight, fucking pop rock garbage, also the whole album turbo should be striking from the recorded record of man
Glenn's lead playing is mind blowing, even when he's not going at top speed, you can hear that heavy blues influence, you can hear a bit or Rory Gallagher and Peter Green. But it's still so uniquely Glenn. The way he outlines chords is his solos is such a beautiful compliment to KK's raw improvised style. And I think you can hear the influence his phrasing has on Rob's vocal phrasing, especially the improvised parts ("you take the bullet, on which my na-AME!!"), Rob sounds unbelievable here! Greatest metal band of all time.
