    Much simpler and faster is slipping stitches with yarn-overs.

    Looks beautiful, thank you! What does the reverse look like? Would this be a suitable stitch for a scarf?

    Would you be willing to test this against other types of stitches, In a ripping test? I'd like to see if this hexagon stich pattern is the strongest

    • @JoannesWeb
      @JoannesWeb  Před 2 lety

      It is strong. You might want to do the test.

      @@JoannesWeb I'm looking to invent a new type of clothing made of nitinol and have in computer controlled, but I need to figure out a way to weave or 'stich' the nitinol wire.
      Basically designing a suit similar to the marvel Spiderman suit

  • @mariaflorenciavilladuarte

    Is this a good stitch for baby blanket? I would like to purchase a DIY kit if you have.

    • @JoannesWeb
      @JoannesWeb  Před 4 lety +1

      We don't sell kits, but thank you. You can use a DK yarn for a baby blanket. Figure out the stitches you need to cast on. Make sure you have Edge stitches.

      figen figen I thought the same thing. I’m sure loads of stitches have different names. Hard to keep up with it all. Joanne makes me want to knit more 🙂

    This is such a pretty stitch but it is by far my least favorite to do. It's horrendously annoying and I will be half way through a project only to realize I did the last two rows flipped AND there's no way to unravel those two rows and fix it. You have to completely start over. Just tried it again and decided there is no way I am making and entire blanket like this.
