  • How to add a radiator to an existing central heating system...PART 1
Today I show you how to install a column radiator onto an existing heating system on timber frame wall in a new room. I'll show you how to get the wall built, how to install the pipes and how to board out proper anchorage points on the wall to hold the weight of the new radiator.
The next video will cover the piping up of the radiator, teeing into the heating system and balancing for use.

Jamesy Boy...you're not still using pushfit stopends on pipework that you're going to be later reconnecting!?!? You crazy kid...instead use a couple old push fit isolation valves. Makes draining easier and avoids the "oops" if there's still a bit of pressure in that pipe. Also a rolled up rubble bag makes a good water catcher. Cheers matey.

I have the evolution mitre saw. I built garden room with it so had lots of use. It's great for DIY but it will be nothing like as good as the professional Bosch mitre saw James is using. I wish I spent more money and bought a makita or bosh professional. When you chop woood with the evolution you can see the cuts are quite straight and you have to mess about it but never quite right. Even straight cuts when it's locked on zero are not right. I had to change the bushes and I'm only on the second blade although I have a diamond blade and a cement board blade. Again lot of use bur they are a bit crap.
