In this video I show how I measure up brackets to hang a radiator to existing valves. There are plenty of other methods out there too, this is just how I do it.
Ive never seen it done with male irons and chrome pipe before, I always keep 100 mm rad extensions on the van and cut down to suit, saves a few pennies rather than buying chrome pipe, Great videos mate, always enjoy your content , keep up the good work 👍
Cheers mate, yeah I wasn't sure exactly how much I'd need either side so thought I'd give this way a go. At least I've got left over pipe now and just need to get a pair of male irons for next time
You can also apply foil insulation behind the radiator for three reasons: 1) aesthetics, 2) hiding wallpaper imperfections, and 3) increasing the radiator's efficiency.
Good job mate. I hate fitting rads on old partition walls with lats. The plaster crumbles into dust. It can be very frustrating sometimes. Does anybody have any tips? Thanks in advance.
@@cputilitysolutions Legend thank you, got 6 to do. Was going to get extensions but this looks a better idea. Keep up your amazing videos and daily Instagrams, great to watch every evening.
sorry did i miss something ,,did you measure the brackets wrong on 2 or 3 times and the chrome pipes should have been the same distance to radiator . Are you a fully trained ?
Rad valves are too fiddly. I changed a rad in the spare room and put in elbow joints instead with quarter-turn lever inline valves. Great when the rad is very seldom needed.

so put a block of wood under it the bear the weight.
Where did you get the chrome inserts ( sorry cant cacth their names Chrome ..... lines?) for the rads and the chrome pipe? Thank you
Chrome male irons and chrome pipe from Screwfix 👍🏽

Spot on mate
whats the wrist support you wear for mate?
Just a magnetic wristband off eBay to hold screws, etc

Nope, can you teach me please?
The lock shield doesn’t need to be any where near that far open. Would have looked a lot better if it were central.
