Step one ! Always locate the water shutoff for the house before you start .

I just put a screw in a squeaky floorboard. I checked for AC and metal, nothing. Perfectly central on the joist. Screw goes in, water hissin and pissin everywhere. Sheeeeiiiit! I manage to shut off the water quickly. But I'm left thinking how the holy hell have I done this? As it transpires, I didn't hit a pipe at all! A couple of inches away there had been a nail in a pipe for years. It obviously sealed itself. But when I put the screw in, it lifted the nail out and broke the seal. This kinda shit happens all the time.

Just a quick comment, Before stripping down a compression joint, try turning down your water pressure by slightly closing the stop cock, It worked for me. ! 😁🤯

Just watched a second time as have trouble again. The last bit about connecting it via an olive or washer was very useful. I had trouble sealing it last time as have a fibre washer fitting and it was a pain. I am imaging n olive and o ring would be more reliable.

We have a dilemma. We had a "friend of the family" put shower panels in and shower, so it's safe to say he messed it up. After a lot of stress, me and the Mrs took it all part, cleaned it all, put it all back and then hit a big problem. We have no nice bit of wood to drill into for the mixer. All we have to mount the BSP valve holders is the shower panel, plasterboard, and a bit of thin plywood.

You could have used aqua wall water proof sheets instead of tiles. These will eliminate any possible leaks completely. Also more easy to clean and maintain

How do I find the heat transfer rate of that indirect coil? There is so little info on them. For example you have DeltaT 50 radiator that will put out X watts as long as the average temp going through is 50 degrees above ambient. Is there a similar spec for those indirect coils in the tank?

Why not just fit a Surrey flange on the top, instead of these liabilities ?
