Back in January of 2020, I took the trip of a lifetime to the Indian state of Kerala, a.k.a. The Land of Coconuts.
It was one of the most incredible trips of my life. I started in the capital city, Trivandrum with my friend Vishnu, and made my way north to Alleppey, the gateway to the world-famous Kerala backwaters.
There, I met up with my friend Ebbin, and he and I continued the journey north to Kozhikode.
Along the way, I ate some of the tastiest, most mouthwatering dishes of my life. In fact, I ate over 150 of them in the two weeks I spent traveling the state!
From Trivandrum to Thekkady to Munnar to Kannur, I was in food heaven, and enjoyed dishes everywhere from hotels to street markets to the middle of the jungle!

@2:36 Hi David, Chapathi is not a Kerala food. It is one of the most common forms of wheat bread which are a staple food in the Indian subcontinent.

David: looks like you are in food heaven. And you had hair then🤔😄😄😄- looks good. I was not aware of all the different dishes in Kerala , some of which reminds me of Trinidad and Tobago. I am of mixed heritage (East Indian on my mother's side and Chinese mix on my father's side) and my favorite foods are Indian and Chinese not to mention Jamaican as well. As a matter of fact all foods of the Caribbean where everything is well seasoned and tasty. You are the best foodie around but David, where does all that food go, because you don't seem to put on any weight 🤔 . I am really enjoying these videos. These hosts really let you enjoy their hospitality and cuisine. Keep up the good work. By the way, I am still amazed by your knowledge of the food and the countries you visit. WOW!!!🇹🇹🇨🇦

@@Deepak_Dhakad I noticed that. They served a lot of meat. I try to stay away from eating a lot of meat so I see your point. I hope you eat some form of protein though. Proteins are for muscle building and carbs are brain food. So you should have both. As long as you are healthy.

@@Trini_Skunt-Troll No way. Indian food available outside India does not have the taste of Indian food available in India. The taste of Kerala's unique dishes can only be found in Kerala. Everything else is just imitation. Or it may have been modified to suit western tastes.
