Great work. The total cost would have been like half if not for the recent very high inflation rate. The dark one is made from yam flour, and the white one (amala lafun) is made from cassava flour. Egba people love Amala lafun.

The food looks delicious! I love Nigerian food! I wish we had a Nigerian restaurant here in Jamaica.

I was told there was an African restaurant in Kingston called Afrique cafe or African cafe as I haven’t been there though . I always eat Jamaican food when am in Jamaica though . You can cook Nigerian food in Jamaica too as everything is there too ,I am sure some Nigerians would be sending Amala in powdery form now

Thanks! Yes there is that one restaurant in Kingston but they are not really open. They say that they take orders on line and then you go to pick it up. However, I never had any success doing that.
I can make jollof rice and fried goat but that is about it. I can't give it that authentic Nigerian taste though.

Wow. Makes me hungry. Although I would have asked for very little stew. Yes soft meat is always the best. I am not sure why some Nigerians make their meat so hard!!!! I have never been to Ibandan..it is worth a visit or even use HeyFood delivery ( if they can ) to deliver to Lagos anytime I visit. Those assorted meats when you arrived at the counter. This what I love about your vblogs...always something to learn. It is strange many non-Yorubas have never heard of or don't eat amala. White amala I was not aware of. I like the way you felt comfortable eating.
