Well, I agree with some of the things you have said such as culture preservation in Nigeria, and certainly less overt security/police officer hostility… I have visited Nigeria and stayed for several weeks, and the overall feeling I get is that there is no gray area. It is all black or white so to speak. Yes, you look out for each other staying at peoples houses sharing food I get that, but on the other hand people will accost you, follow you, and I did not always feel safe.I don’t agree that taxes are as bad as you say. There are different kinds of taxis and they pay for things so that we don’t have to pay directly out of pocket in lump sum’s schools, books, uniforms, lights, things like that. In Nigeria, If you don’t have the money in lump to pay for your fees, every three months or whatever it is, then your child cannot go to school. That is why there are taxes. but every state does not have every kind of tax. It just depends on which state you decide to live in. Also basic necessities such as lights water, must be provided to you by your government.. you are dependent on them. I see it changing a little bit now, but generally speaking, if power goes down then nothing gets done and that is not good . I like the idea of paying rent for the whole year or even six months but I also see that changing because I see the government trying to be more adaptable to what is happening in the West. that includes buying a house over here. You are allowed to buy a house and spread it out over a period of years, not in Nigeria. They want the money all at once or maybe spread out over one year that is not feasible for most people.. More people would own land and property if the system were changed.. but I could see myself living in Nigeria, at least part of the time. I would just want to feel more safer walking around, and I would not want to be totally accosted by people expecting to be paid at every turn; that mentality has to change.

Why the African people let other race come in their country and take over the land and you have more minerals to make the whole continent of Africa rich if you get rid of those bad needles and put some good ones in and y’all all come together and run Africa as one continent. Just like every other continent Monday countries get rid of the bad ones leaders.

Shout that to every African, they think cause they have the ability to come here, they are under the misconception that they can. Had it not been for Black Americans, they wouldn't have that ability. Let me tell them about my personal stories of Lynching, my grandpa worked an entire year, and was paid $1.18 and a bag of peanuts. Grandma having to leave her kids, cause she had to care for white children. So miss me.

23:10 Think of it this way, if for very many decades, when Africans come to the United States completely disrespect and disregard and dismiss black Americans. They're not going to be as welcoming to Africans when they come to this country. Because even to this day it still happens unfortunately, ex: As a black American woman. I still have those very horrible interactions with African women. Who I think are absolutely beautiful Women, intelligent and have so much to offer. And they bring that grace over to the United States and i absolutely love it and for me to have that internal mindset about African women and to only be met with a scoff, stuck up dismissive, disrespectful, insulting Person, I'm not gonna be as open to meeting more African women. I'm not gonna be as welcoming or as warm. I try to have an open mind, but if I've had decades of that type of experience, it's not going to be easily integrated into my lifestyle so think of it that way. There are very many people like myself who are still open-minded. Who still have open arms, Who are still welcoming but if Time and time again. You've only ever had poor interactions with Africans. You're not gonna be as open to it all the time. So I say this to say that I sincerely apologize that you had that experience. And it is incredibly unfortunate, but really try to look at it from both perspectives. Even to this day, it's very unfortunate, but I have not had very many good interactions with African men. They come over here, they oversexualized black American women. They completely disregard us. They are disrespectful to us as well. So we get it from black. American men and African men really think about that, so what Tonya is saying Is incredibly accurate incredibly accurate. It's unfortunate, but she did not miss a mark here.

Warning Very long: I was married to my Nigerian husband for 15+ years, divorced now. We share one son half me, half him 100% Black man. I understand what she speaks of, my husband told me, ''Boyz in the Hood' was repeatedly shown to them at home and all the other violent inner city black movies. I remember the 'African booty scratcher' part. It was placed there as a tactic for further division. He said he was he was afraid he would get shot. While here, we weren't told of the productive societies, we were shown movies like 'The God's Must be Crazy' the white lady we all know Susan Stutters in reservation camps with the ever starving African children. 'We are the world' the song sang by celebrities in 1985 about the once again starving African communities. We seen the violence of the regimes. Told they were just violent, now we know they were fighting for the natural resources and equality, different tactics here, but the same goal. The media has never told the truth on both sides. My father was a engineer who traveled from America to Japan for work, he treated poorly, at first. Until a dialog was established, he was told what 'others' would say about about Black Americans, we were not business owners, we were lazy, violent. Jamicians said when passing through customs they were told not to associate with us. We all are hurt, by what was said about us to you, and vice versa. Thr confusion of the slave trade, are we indigenous to America or were we sold by our own? The fact that Africans did not cover slavery in classes. We seen you stand up and fight against Apartheid in South Africa. We see the way the Chinese have come and profited from mines and murder goes unpunished. We see you being treated as a 3rd class citizen in the land your ancestors walked. We see YOU! UNKNOWN to you, we stand with you. We want a open conversation, we want to unlearn, understand and repair that broken bridge. I am sorry, we treated you as we did, it's a jealousy, your connection to your ancestors. We are told you gave us away. Understand and let's please show empathy, patience, and a common goal of repairing us. We are of one color, but we are different. Can we mesh all the differences and produce something positive? We have a lot to discuss, no judgement. How will our future generations walk the earth, what legacy are we to leave for them to follow? My son, your sons?
