    Everything you want for the house is possible, but it comes with a cost. You can get solar split AC in DC with comsums less power, and it runs on 12-24v. Solar security light with sensor and deamable. All you security ca.era and devices can run on solar and batteries.
    I hope your client is considering security solutions for the smart home. I see many of the smart homes in 9ija don't have security, I have experimented with this during the last visit, and most are relying on their ISP routers, which can be easily hacked.
    Hope this information help.

    Hello, great job on the remodeling. My question is about the solar water heater. Would it store the hot water for use for those who have to wake up early to go to work?

    I love your new remodeling videos. I am also impressed with your ability to learn and adapt on the fly, and your renewable consciousness. the mock-up looks good. I can't wait to see the finishing which is a big problem in a lot of Nigerian construction.

    Second question. If you have more solar panels than is required for your project and extra batteries would that help in giving the house full solar coverage for 24 hours and would it also be able to power the AC?

    • @thenigeriannomad
      @thenigeriannomad  Před 2 měsíci

      yes it would help but i am learning it is not as simple as that. But technically speaking you are correct The question that arises.. is how many solar panels do you need and do you have space for it. ? how many batteries do you need for it to store pwer overnight and one of the most important ones. COST :) so far, It seems to be excessive for one house, unless the AC is phased out and fans are being used.

      10kva should be enough for your 24-hr electricity need. That was what I did.

    You can actually run on solar 24 hours if its properly designed and tailored for the the apartment.
    You can run your acs 24 hours as long as the roof space is sufficient to accommodate the required number of quality solar panels to recharge the batteries during the day. I did advice you opt for the haier thermocool genpal AC. They are really energy efficient and most our sites can attest to that.
    A quality Lithium battery and inverter is paramount for optimum performance as this system runs 24 hours everyday.
    I happy you are integrating the solar water heater into your design but i always implement plan b on designs. Let the plumber also have a pipes installed for individual electrical water heater incase there's a breakdown of the central solar water heater.

    • @thenigeriannomad
      @thenigeriannomad  Před 2 měsíci

      its definitely possible but the amount of solar panels and batteries needed would be astronomical i believe. Also, longevity of batteries is a concern if it is being used constantly with this much intensity. I LOVE the idea of PLAN B in designs. Thanks for that reminder . Thanks for contributing and sharing thoughts

      @@thenigeriannomad not really as regards the panels and battery requirement.. I did love to help if you can provide me in details the appliances and their Wattages that would be on solar inverter system. That would help to tailor down your battery, inverter and solar panel requirement..
