- As many of you will know, Tim keeps his amazing toy collection in a vast array of suitcases that almost take over his flat - see • Meet Tim Rowett, the m... for a short film about Tim and Grand Illusions made by the BBC.
The filing system is based on date, i.e. the year he bought or acquired the toy. Here is one of his cases from the year 2000. A millennial case if you will!
We are experimenting with shooting videos in Ultra HD, or 4K. This is the first video we have shot in 4K. Any feedback as to whether you can see an improvement is welcome. - Věda a technologie
The fact that Tim had to specify he was referring to 2000 AD is only more evidence he is immortal.
Still waiting for that toys he obtained during 450 BC

We can only hope.
“A ver special year”
Just waiting for his collection of dinosaur tooth gravity toys
Any kid who has Tim as their Grandpa must think they're in heaven.
You would never get bored.
Sadly he has none :'(

He's our grandfather at heart :')

No, I’m from the future
Someone get this guy a Beyblade.
he will split the line to toys r us
Bruh he will have a beyblade prototype
@Shark Bandit this is cursed
Ian give it to him already!
@@GAMEBAYGAMING you know toy r us is dead
I'd like a video showing where Tim keeps these cases. I imagine a giant underground storage facility.
A normal flat lined with cases. See the description
I kinda wish the way he stored his toys was more.. cartooney/ James bond-y.
Just imagine Tim vanishing behind a spinning wall, to be greeted by an armada of Cases full of toys.
Agent Tim, Codename: Toyman 007
@@headsetsquirrel2581 how does your response rectify his request??? ---FOR A FRIEND
He actually keeps them inside a giant case.
@@RFC3514🤣🤣🤣 Nice!
Video resolution from the Nile.
I'd have to show you 10 years of meme history to get this
Thank u! I feared that Meme was forgotten somehow.
@@sascha_hammer Eternal meme from the Nile.
Sascha Hammer how would forgetting it be possible, he even worked it into his intro. It’s his thing and will remain relevant in his channel forever
Whiterun guard from the Nile
God, I'm 27 and just got transported back to my childhood. I vividly remember the stackable spinning tops and the fibre optic lights.
offender I’m 13 and cannot relate
I'm 13, and thanks to Tim, I'm forever a child
@@niketyson4845 nobody asked
@@metallicarabbit 😐 wow bro that’s hilarious
Are u still 27?
Love that he probably doesn’t know it’s the millennium falcon... which is funny because the year 2000 was a millennium. It would have made a great pun
Big Burton thanks I hate it
😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
he knew what it was…he just chose to not make mention of it due to legal issues with Disney/LucasArts
@@bostonrailfan2427 most likely. Makes sense
So, i found tim by accident a couple weeks ago...for an older gentleman i can see the joy and love he has for these little knick knacks, toys and tricks....it brings joy for toys of my childhood and makes me want to sit and play with my boys and there toys...i want to say thank you for your videos and hope for your continued success on this platform
Me: Ah, toys from 2000. So recent, fairly new toys then.
Tim: "... 19 years ago."
Me:
i'm 25 and literally nothing brings me more genuine smile than Tim's vids
you really deserve all the subscribers you have :)
Something is just so calming about his voice, and seeing all the crazy stuff he's collected is super cool too. I feel anyone, young or old, could find some enjoyment from these videos.
I just love the enthusiasm he has for relatively mundane toys. He's a national treasure
@@L.Reeves he's more like international treasure
I think it's that he enjoys this just as much as us
I’m 9 and I find his videos interesting and funny:)
WHY DOES HE HAVE AD MARKED ON THE BOX. WHY DOES THAT IMPLY HE HAS BC BOXES.
FBI. Stay where u are.
And you thought Tim was a mere mortal? Your ignorance is shameful
@@autumnleaf3667 Tim is obviously a being beyond time and space, residing in the Black Void.
We do not speak of *those* boxes

I could spend the whole evening in the corner pub, buying pints for Tim, just so I could listen to his stories! :D
Congrats, Tim! Well-deserved! 🤗❤
I put a playlist of this channel running on the TV, at a small get together. Everyone loved it. Fun and interesting, family friendly, not overly distracting.
7:50 cs_italy...ah...so many memories...
Simple Cookie yessss bro! Didn’t play that map in CS but played well over 400 hours of prop hunt in Gmod. Back then, everything was simple.
Source maps are some of the most nostalgic things to come out of videogames
Tim and team, you totally deserve that play button!
I was born in the year 2000 and this made me nostalgic as my grandma had one of those fibre glass lights and I used to love it as a child.
Thank you for specifying it was 2000 AD, I thought for a second you were over 4000 years old.
Who says he isn´t?
@@ryanfarrell5307 He was very disparaged by the passing of his traveling companion Stan Lee.
That would explain all the water from the Nile. But seriously. I love this channel
I mean, the fact that he had to specify makes me think he his XD
Well done Tim and the team on 1 million. Well deserved. These videos will be enjoyed in years to come I have no doubt.
Oh my goodness I remember having the Spring Loaded Tops! I loved those things as a kid!
I had the stacking spinners! They were a ton of fun back in the day, although my dad wouldn't let me play with them because they were "too loud". My dad wasn't a nice person, but he had good taste in toys.
Thanks for the flashback!
3:16 in the morning and I’m watching Tim. I’m living my best life
11 minutes of Tim in 4K? Oh how we have been blessed!!
As a 2000s baby I remember a lot of this stuff as a kid. Those where the years :)
7:50 is that the ct-spawn of cs_italy?!
Yes
Yes sir
I wonder if the game designers had that photo as well... this guy continues to amaze with the depth of his toy collection haha
Yay! Well done Tim! We all love you and your toy collection.
Dealing with chronic pain wich makes me restless during the evening. But since I made it a routine to watch your videos everynight it keeps me distracted from it all and I'm sleeping much better now! Your videos are wonderfull!
Well I didn't ask to nearly be brought to tears by a description of a fibre optic lamp but here I am. You're awesome Tim!
Brought back a lot of memories. These things used to be so popular.
I had one of those stacking spinning tops toys... then, my Grandparents dog decided it would be a clever idea to chew the spring loaded handle up. The first spinning toy thing's cool.
This man is the legend of nostalgia and childhood
Congratulations Tim, well deserved . Bringing back lots of good memories, i have a Star Wars puzzel just like the one you showed .👍👏👏👏👏👏
Omg! I had those same stacking tops growing up. This is some of the strongest nostalgia I've experienced in a long time
I am 50 and still love watching Tim
I can certainly notice the difference in camera quality, I look forward to many more years of watching Tim share his toys, tricks and gadgets with us!
Oh man! I remember those stackable tops.
Gosh. I was born in 2000, my brother in 1995. He has that exact same game of pickup snakes, must have got it around the time I was born when he was a young kid! He still has it somewhere too!
every single toy he shows: "it's good for small children"
I really do have a lot of respect for how committed you've been to your fanbase and still continue to improve for us who watch, thank you Tim for keeping giving me a smile when watching.
“If you turn this knob here it’s moves in an extraordinary way” crazy spider mech starts spazzing out
How lovely. That water top was awesome
the Fibre Optic Lamp when they first came out were such a sensation. a big silver reflective ball with a hank of optical fibers protruding from the top, the fiber ends forming a sphere of tiny star lights. it looked cool next to my lava lamp
I've never seen one of his cases before, that made me smile.
Seeing Tim win this award makes me happy! I was here before the viral prank video, he had very few subs then! It was a great journey, one we all hope will continue towards 10 million subscribers and beyond! Good job sir!
I have SEEN THOSE SNAKES BEFORE but i know not where or whence in my childhood
Thank you for jogging this memory, tim
I had so many of these toys!!!!! The nostalgia is strong with this one!!!😀😀😀
I used to play a lot with those stackable spinning tops as a kid. Eventually the holes on top wore down so much you couldn’t stack them anymore, but they were great fun while it lasted.
Watching Tim in 4K makes my day
What a humble way of showing off the 1 million plaque!
I have that same wind-up grasshopper toy and the package that went with it. It's name is Katita made by a company called Kikkerland and it was designed by Chico Bicalho in 1999. They still make them too.
this dude is definitely a wizard like Arthur Weasley who's just fascinated with muggle devices
A new video from Tim is a great birthday present. Thank you Tim.
I believe I saw you Tim in Tesco extra about an hour or so ago, I would have said hello but you were just leaving the store :)
This dude is awesome that he's reviewing cool toys and illusions at age like 50 or somethin
Probably 70
I want them to take the camera to one of these toy shows and show Tim discovering new toys.
Oof look at that great quality.Tim has never looked sharper
10:00 my older sister had one of those when I was young and I was fascinated by it! I was 4 years old in 2000 :)
Crazy to think that I was here since 100k. Well deserved, Tim is relaxing.
Agreed! I remember the first video I saw by him was actually the Vases and Nuemonic toy video. This means my first impression of Tim was "Water from the Nile" 😁
I have seen an apple hover above the Millennium Falcon, and my life is now complete.
Congrats on 1 Million subs Tim. Much deserved.
We love you Tim. Never stop. We need you.
Oh my goodness, I remember some of these from when I was a kid. Specifically the stackable tops and the fiber optic lights.
Tim plays with beyblades for a bit, then tells a tale using relics from his time in World War 2
Tim finally got what he deserves ❤
Tim is awesome man.
Toys in 4K. What a perfect time to be alive
At 4:13, doesn't that fan thing looked like a Millennium Falcon?
because it is
I used to have those staking tops at my grandmothers. Loved playing with them
Tim is the most happiest person alive on the earth
a family friend had a bunch of the last one all around her pool. As a kid I was mesmerized!
Well done, Tim! :)
Finally, a year I was a kid for!
Tim is the only CZcamsr who doesn't show off the CZcams button in a separate video so they even get more subscribers.
I have the exact set of those stacking spinning tops. I remember playing with them for ages trying to stack them all on top of each other
1:55
I used to have a variant of those as a kid, seeing them displayed in one of Tim's videos makes me feel extremely old all the sudden and I'm still 18 yrs old as of writing this comment.
Is this how some elderly folk watching Grand Illusions feel?
Your old toys as a kid on CZcams, reminding you of how long it has been...
I don’t understand why anyone would dislike this mans videos
Congrats Tim!
I was born in the year 2000! Very cool to see this :)
i dont think it has much to do with content, but with the way he narrates. a very nice asmr
Most wonderful, thank you for all the things you do, and inventions accrued.
Congratulations! 🎉🎊🍾🎈
Awesome hobby! What a collection! Definitely a well deserved million subs.
Am I the only one who saw a place from cs_italy in the mould???

Tim would be the best ASMRist ever
It’s been 2 years and Tim only got 1M more subs? We must expand viewers.
Congratulations on 1M subs.
That first top, I believe one holds the top of it and rub the bottom half across the floor to gain momentum.
Tim is my grandpa who is far away from home. Love ya!
I would love to see a little bit of behind the scenes. Congratulations on 1 Megasubscriber!
I know that my friends would make fun of me for watching this but I dont care because it's way better than someone screaming at a computer screen
Good job tim, congrats
Congratulations to my favorite CZcams channel! 🎉🎉🎉
i had one of this fiber optic lamp things, always fun to touch and turn on!
Congrats tim!
