For me, this was very close to Otto's best goal for us. That first touch did three things - contols the ball, beats the man and sets up the shot... and what a shot! Been looking for footage of this goal for ages, thanks for posting!
Ipswich fan: we'd just been relegated, and about 15 games in, Ipswich made the worst decision ever. Yes, we were languishing in mid-table, but with much of the season to go to get back in the play-offs, and they sacked George Burley, probably our third best manager ever. And we've languished ever since. Even gone down again now into the wilderness of League One, with little prospect of going up again at the first attempt (even if the season finishes).
@@wideman06 This was the game when we gave you your nickname. No noise from the tractor boys🎶 your support was terrible for the amount of fans you brought🤫
@@twixaphen9386 Well, it certainly looks like Birmingham could be joining Ipswich next season, in League 1 - there again, they might even swap places. Let that sink in...
At 1-0 to Ipswich Gus Uhlenbeek had a perfectly legitimate goal ruled out for offside which would have made it 2-0 to Ipswich. Would of gone on and won the game ! That’s why Ipswich got relegated in 2019 due to this goal being ruled out 24 years earlier !?! Lol. Kind of nonsense Barry Fry up would have come out with !
Now we know where Ronaldo got his celebration from - Ricky Otto 2:25

@@wideman06 Correct, NOT that season - Burley was sacked in the 2001/02 season.
