- After our last Sonic Movie video that was filled with cries and a painful day... we finally have the view on the NEW Sonic look. Here's my full reaction and let's get into an analysis about how he looks!

Literally seconds later shows her electricity
they didn't even remove the electricity, they just downtoned it
She was just excited
They actually did, only for the spindash but they did. You can compare it with the old trailer
They removed a lot of it, not all of it. She was just too excited to be clear about that
I know exactly what shes talking about, they did remove a ton of it. When he jumps off the truck, he was covered with electricity in the first trailer. i wish they kept it, it looked cool

There’s some really good attention to detail in some of the movements for sonic, a lot of references people may have missed as well.
This just feels more Sonic
Agreed, the facial expressions were spot on and he carried the right kind of playful attitude.

A possible explanation for the “electricity” is that whenever sonic goes that fast he’s likely breaking the sound barrier, creating a sonic boom (no pun intended) which releases a huge amount of energy in the real world (it’s likely just residual energy during the scene when he’s standing still)

I'm so glad this made you happy, Sonic deserves a really good movie and I'm hyped that it looks like he's getting it.
I feel like the only one who actually likes the blue arms. I'm not a Sonic Boom fan, but, I did always find it weird that his arms weren't blue like his legs. He's, like, the only character in the Sonic cast whose arm and leg color aren't the same.
Thank god, I tought I was the only one. Tan arms but blue legs? That never made sense. Someone made an edit and it looked like Sonic had human arms...
@@EX0TIC_ECL1PSE Apparently thats because when the original sprite was created they needed a different color to distinguish his arms from the body with a limited pallete.

BibleThump it’s a start man. And it doesn’t look that bad. Also most Sonic fans know that Sonic is known for cheesiness. So even if it’s a bit cheesy. That’s Sonic tbh. I don’t expect a magnificent story. But it definitely looks like this movie is gonna be fun and entertaining

They had to have help from Sega Japan because you know when the creator of Sonic calls Paramount out on this nonsense on the first trailer they knew they messed up
Nope it was the director of the movie, he responded to the criticism
Actually the creator tweeted. He said about all the other designs of sonic in the franchise are sonic. But that there was something up with this one that didn't sit well with him. Paraphrasing but that's essentially what he was on about.
They brought in Tyson Hesse who did the Sonic Mania and Sonic Adventure animations.

He looks great now! And I'm honestly glad they didn't include his uni-eye. That was always the weird part of Sonic's official design to me. It's slightly more excusable for his toon-y form than it would be for realistic CGI, which would make him some sort of weird Cyclops-looking thing. So, in a way, this redesign is BETTER for me than the original, even!

*my guess for why you still see Sonic effecting electricity on the new trailer, was because in the original script Sonic has electric powers and they couldn't go back and redo the story with actors redoing scenes all over, but only redo the CGI of Sonic*

Yeah it seems when he gets really excited and/or pissed off he becomes temporally invincable, like in the game when he is covered with stars when he is invincable. That must be the real world interpretation of the INVINCIBLE STARS! Omg! Please let me know if you think i might be onto something!

They literally show Sonic gathering up electricity in the baseball field when he runs around the bases, and like 2-3 other scenes, lol wut?!

I've watched like 15 reactions to this trailer, and you are the first one to notice his eyes glowing and the energy build up... like he may go Super Sonic. That would be a great ending. And then Tails in the post credits...

I love the Sonic games especially the Sonic Adventure games. I grew up on Sonic since the first Sonic game on the Sega Genesis. I'm thinking about dusting off my old Sonic games on Steam and playing all of them. I can't wait until this movie comes out, and I think that Paramount Studios has really redeemed themselves.
