    Lyrics:
Once was a sweet thang baby, held out love in our hands
Now I reach to kiss your lips the touch don't mean a thing
And that's a cold shot baby, yeah that's a drag
A cold shot baby, I let our love go bad
Remember the way that you loved me, do anything I said
Now I see you out somewhere you won't give me the time of day
And that's a cold shot darlin', yeah that's a drag
And that's a cold shot baby, we let our love go bad
I really meant I was sorry, for ever causin' you pain
You showed your appreciation by walkin' out anyway
And that's a cold shot baby, yeah that's a drag
And that's a cold shot baby, we let our love go bad
So sad, too bad, so sad
Don't let our true love run cold baby

Truly one of the most humble and talented artists to have ever lived, he puts many talentless artists nowadays to shame. All it takes nowadays to be a star is ghost writers and music producers, don't even need real talent anymore because the computer can add that too. Unfortunate indeed where the music industry is now in comparison to Stevie's timeline. SRV forever

That's actually a pretty good metaphor and account for his life!
The devil (his drugs and alcohol )and other devil women tried to take him as one of their own
It brought him down and like a deal with the devil they wanted his music and his talent
His talent was fading so was all the light in him
Then he got clean and rocked the stage many more times when god decided this guys guitar and soul is just too sweet of a sound to have wasted in earth
So he brought Stevie back up to heaven where he knew he'd be able to jam with his friends and old blues singers for rest of his days 😍

It takes playing every second that you make time for. People will ask you, for instance, why you quit singing. If your answer is “I didn’t have time “that’s an indication that you really didn’t care about learning to sing . Only an example of what can happen with any training we volunteer or time to. My father was obsessed with this legend, which is where my interest started bc my father is my hero. I'm thankful for that bc Stevies playing speaks to something in my soul and has a way of calming any storm. I've taken it wth me on deployments and tours, to the hospital for 26 surgeries, my wedding, the births of my children, my first corvette and my first love (they might be connected lol), first heartbreak, all that. Stevie and his music have been riding shotgun with me since I was 10. Hell, that alone has made it a good journey so far lol. Very proud to say I gave my kids that gift as well.

The 2nd coming of Jimi Hendrix. I have never before seen such a symbiotic relationship between man and instrument. That guitar is simply a natural, physical extension of SRV. He plays it as effortlessly as he talks or walks, and it says exactly what SRV is thinking and feeling at that moment. SRV and Pat Metheny are my 2 favorite guitarists/players. Opposite sides of the same coin, but I Love them both so much. SRV's Spirit and Passion is so Soulful, Real, Raw, and Down to Earth. Cain't help but Love my Big Bruh! Pat is an insane, music Genius who says things exactly as I would say them. My 2 guitar heroes.
