Wise words from George as usual..
Great summary. And how come Groves never talks about the 80,000 fans in Wembley. He was actually there too 😂
Great fight . Two very different styles. Think we seen both of them at their best ,giving 100% effort .
Great fight - draw seemed about right
No way should there have been a loser in that fight
Agree with George. No need for either to repeat that next.
Very good fight from both men, Massive respect to Wardley for being able to keep on his feet till the end, both real gladiators. I had Clarke up by one point
I had Frase up by 1 point too, but can't argue.
@@cassandra2100 roll on the rematch 👊🏻👍🏻
I didn’t score it but felt he’d edged it
Literally doesn't make sense to do anything other then the immediate rematch. Especially the money they would make from it.
Nice nod back to the 80k with Marv from George 😂👊
I had Clarke up by a round but when its that close you cant complain too much about a draw or it going in the other direction. I apply a 3 round swing to my scoring to accommodate for a difference in preference for the judges
Sold out? I don’t think so
A stronger ref would have deducted Wardley points for his back handed punches, he was warned FIE times!
I had Clarke up by one round but if I watched it again I might have said differently tbh because it was that close.
With all your judging experience 😂😂
@@Craigyboi01 shallap 😭
I have watched it again minus beer. I scored it 6 rounds each. If I had to give either fighter the nod I would say Wardley. In one round Frazer was in serious trouble and spat out his gum shield
Who ever advise Clarke to come in @19+stone needs sacking he was way to heavy & was gassed after the 5th but a great fight but I recon if Clarke was lighter he would of got the better of wardley but hey let’s run it again 🥊
Clarke managed his pace well. Wardley was the one who was gassed
@@pandabear1576 he didn’t manage as well as he would of had he been a stone or so lighter he’s a big man and I believe he would of managed his energy levels better not coming in as heavy
Clarke won. Can only give Wardley 5 rounds and that includes the knock down. Needs to use him left hand more. Fights like Alen Babic. One dimensional
@@andrewcunningham1361he didn't look that out of condition
Looked leaner than previous fights
What a fight, hopefully they go again and both get an increased purse as they deserve it. Both fighters showed massive heart.
Imagine being one of the lads in white collar who came up against Fabio. Doing your bit for charity and coming up against a warrior.
Everyone losing their shit over nganou.. but Wardley is more of a story.. zero background in boxing bar 4 white collar events and then to do this... what a story
Wardley should be thankful it's not 15 rds anymore. He was gassing bad.
The presentation was like American wrestling and that Ben Whitticar fight wasn't real.
If I’m truly honest…I think Fabio cut his own nose on purpose - George Groves
What Groves actually said here is this:
"Clarke won the fight & got robbed. Wardley is my favourite & everyone else's favourite but if he rematches Clarke straight away he'll get his face wiped so I would much rather that Clarke was allowed time to get old & fade a bit more before My Boy Wardley steps back into a rematch with him."
Yep
Couple of Palookas . Warmley so easy to hit but Clarke unable to punch his weight. Titles and belts worthless. Public taken for mugs.
Why are you watching then you little tube
@stubrown7766 seen more skill in a pub fight. I suggest you look back to times when proper boxers had many fights before contesting for a title. Wardleys features before the fight was testament to his lack of defensive qualities. Halfway through the brawl both were gassed. Imagine them attempting 15 rounds as in the past?
I think they should go again 👍😊 I don’t agree with George that they should both take an easy fight next. Why would the paying public want to see that bollocks? There’s already too much of that nonsense going on IMHO
@@BobbyGardiner-zt5zplook at the size of heavyweights in the times you were referring to. They were cruiser weights who were better conditioned and moving much lighter on their feet. You now have an era of heavyweights which are much heavier, brawn, and powerful. You cannot compare the two eras, these guys are juggernauts and cannot expected to move or be as well conditioned as lighter guys.
Bobby Gardner it’s not the fighters fault there are so many belts now, that’s a promotion/societal issue.
I’m not saying this current if HWs are any good but that fight had everyone excited.
“Seems fair,” language pisses me off. Did YOU have a draw? If not then no a draw isn’t fair lol. How can you question your own ability to judge a fight? Draws are so clear and this wasn’t a draw
Wanted Wardley to win, but I think Clarke won. He was 3-1 up, won a few more rounds and won the last round
Because scoring is objective and it was a close fight with a few rounds that could have gone either way, the viewers scoring kop out had a few 10 10 rounds which NEVER happens in actual scoring aside from maybe 1 round a year justifiably being 10 10, it's a must system so them rounds must be scored to someone and you don't give someone a round to even it up if the fight looks close. you score the rounds as you seem em and add up the tally at the end, clarke lost a point and got dropped which means on a draw he won 7 rounds to 5, a fair score in my mind.
@@BrianPinas9😂😂😂Fabio won by 2 rounds. Easily. A draw is an absolute piss take.
@@jesuschristelohimsonofyahw3454 Wanted him to win, but I thought he lost 8-4 or 7-5 with the knock down. Got caught too much with the uppercut. Compare both men's faces at the end.
