Echo was an interesting show, i've seen the first episode and it had a pretty cool introduction

Echo didn’t really need a show. We could’ve just had a kingpin show instead.

That would have been intriguing, I agree. Especially if it explored Wilson Fisk's past prior to his New York reign.

I agree, could’ve connected to daredevil Born again really well, as well as tie in some loose ends from season 3 of Netflix dd

@@DyliciousTakes Agreed. For me the writing didn't make me care about Maya, she came across as unlikeable in my opinion. she did bad things, got a pep talk, a suit and some powers and she is magically redeemed. I didn't care about her friend or her family either. It seems Marvel used the TV MA rating as a marketing strategy to sell it, trying to make people believe this would be like DD Netflix, which means they had no faith in Echo. I wanted to like this but found myself bored through most of it.

my words exactly, the show didn't have enough time to develop the main character in maya, let alone any other side character. I don't even remember their names. Kingpin is barely developed too, we just know how developed he is based on the preconceived media we've seen him in.@@kicknowledgesmith8608

We watched very different shows. Would I have loved more of the show? Yes. Did she exhibit change or growth? Of course she did.She went from living entirely for vengeance to being able to get back in touch with her roots and depend on her community again. Dang. I grow more and more disappointed with male fandom every day, and I started comics in the early 70s when women couldn't even own credit cards in our own name so that's saying something.

She “develops” but it’s completely rushed, forcing every character to rush it’s growth to fit the 5 episode timeline. It’s not a bad thing that the people tailored to watch these shows critique it. And idk what gender has to do with this, marvels whole slot of tv and movies have had this issue of rushing it’s storyline in 5-6 episodes

@@DyliciousTakeswould you call it rushed or have an issue if it was a movie vs a tv show? Character rushed progression is literally an outline of many of the movies, so it’s sensible that the show would have a similar outline.
Not ideal, but not new on any level.

The fight scene also seemed off to me. I wish they bring the same choreographers and showrunners from the actual Netflix Daredevil series and let them make the next Daredevil show.
