  • Printable on INKJET only! Printable laser shrink plastic does not exist! Laser printer uses heat to lay the ink down. And shrink plastic shrinks with heat....so you can imagine what could happens if you try to use laser printer.
    Printer I use: canon pixma TS6220
    Here’s a video on how to print on shrink plastic:

    Why do I use two different types of resin in my projects?
    I use a casting resin to cast and a doming resin for doming.
    Casting resin is usually low in viscosity and works very well in molds without much issue with the bubbles. Also the low viscosity will allow the resin to reach detailed area of the mold. Doming resin is thick in viscosity and holds its shape very nicely. It creates a full dome and tends to hold the surface tension much better than low viscosity resin. So lower risk of the resin dripping off the sides. It also gives the piece a smooth, flawless finish.

This video is really helpful!but I have a question, I was using a shrink plastic with Canva, with a 50-50 color correction (50 contrast, 50 saturation and 50 transparency) but for this shrink plastic these changes are not good, I did several tests but I can't find the right calibration, you what meadvice?

    I loved your tutorial and am super excited to try this brand of shrink plastic! It arrived and will only print the first 1/5 of the paper then stop 😮. I am able to print the entire page of images on regular copy paper but each time I try the shrink plastic sheet is stops after only printing a small portion of the page. Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

    I purchased this brand of shrink plastic after seeing your video and after shrinking it just didn't shrink evenly like yours did in the video. 😢 In fact, for me the grafix brand shrinks a lot more evenly but I love the clear finish of the Auihiay semitransparent compared to the grafix. Please do you (or anyone) have any tips? My projects usually are square or rectangular in shape, but after baking they are always warped to one side more like a rhombus.

    I have never used shrink paper but would like to try this to make name tags for my aunt’s MANY cats’ collars. How many do you think I can make with this 12 pack? What is the difference in how your piece looks using the white versus the transparent paper? Do you have any advice as to how I should make these tags? I plan to use my inkjet printer and not draw or trace. Thank you!

    • @AmyMade

      @@AmyMade Thanks, I use the grafix brand printable and love it but I'm very interested in this brand because from the looks of it distortion doesn't seem to be an issue. Do you still print your images in a horizontal orientation? Just wondering if it matters with this brand....Also with the grafix printable shrink film, I use a rotary tool with the sand paper attachment to quickly remove the ragged edges and it does a good job!

    • @AmyMade
      @AmyMade  Před 2 lety +1

      @@PhotographyChick17 I print it in portrait and adjust the image accordingly to accommodate for the shrinking. Grafix shrink plastic is really good but if I could skip the step of getting rid of those teeth, I’m all for this version. Also because the surface is smooth, I don’t have to apply thin layer of resin for micro bubble management.

    • @PhotographyChick17
      @PhotographyChick17 Před 2 lety

      So far I really love this brand.How do you finish the back? I want to make pins, croc charms and stud earrings but my normal process doesn't work too well for this brand because the resin doesn't stick to the plastic backing. I even tried sanding the back and painting with paint markers.

    • @PhotographyChick17
      @PhotographyChick17 Před 2 lety

      With grafix brand I normal place my pin, post or croc charms to the back with e6000 and then I would resin the whole back.....I really do love the fact that I can just resin the front for some projects because the back is waterproof.

    PSA: $30 for 25 sheets. Don't be discouraged by the price. If you sell on etsy, just raise your prices of your finished product. Don't forget that inflation exists, minimum wages are up, start charging more for your goods to keep up with the economy. People CAN afford your items regardless of prices going up.
