- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. Thanks for watching.

Is it weird that I'm actually impressed by your honesty and openness in posting a video where you fail at your task? Some folks would have deemed it unworthy to upload because of that.
He's cut from a better cloth than most.
Oh come on. That pipe would be EASY to find.*

*If the ditch was empty of water and the leaves weren't all over the place, and...
I never in my life imagined that i'd be upset and a bit irritated because someone couldnt clear a flooded culvert.
You were probably really close. Try to use a magnet to locate the pipe for cases like this. Thank you for the video!
It wouldn't have mattered, there was too many rocks. Update video coming soon
May help alot. Like you said, big rock could have crushed it. 👍👍👍👍
i suggested a handheld metal detector in the past but like he said, if there are rocks in the way it wouldn't help much.
Looked very much like an Aluminium pipe though.

Not all heroes wear capes. Some wear safety vests and are soaked to the skin. You are appreciated.
I absolutely love this. First time I've seen what would be easy to call a "fail" but all of this is more "lesson learnt" for next time. Still 100% the best unblocker I've ever seen with astonishing knowledge. Learning can be frustrating but ultimately rewarding as that helps us thrive for better.
Absolutely ADORE these videos bro, please never stop
Note to self: When you think you've chosen the right height boot for the water, always use the next higher boot to avoid flooded boots.
Skip the middle men and put on a diver's drysuit.
Or channel your inner Winnie the Pooh and only wear a shirt.
@@MuddyPigg Dangerous game if there are leeches in the water.
You really don't want a three-toothed biter on your dangling bait.
Props for you to keep trying to find the other opening. I tried to unclog my first culvert here over the weekend and it was harder than it looks. I thought I knew where the pipe was but I just couldn't see it. I moved a ton of small stones that had slid down the embankment but never found the opening. Oh well - I will try again some day!
Good for you!
If pipe metal use metal detector🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
I felt the frustration right along with you ! 😮💨
You're not alone. Anyway, it was a great try!
You should carry around a magnet with you to locate underwater pipes
The problem was it was buried under rocks
that’s a pretty good idea or a metal detector.
Not all culverts are metal guys.
When my grandparents had a trailer park they built a solid rod with a sharp point on one end and a handle on the other end for your hands to be able to force it into the ground

I'm envious of your ability to find enjoyment in almost anything. Keep up the videos Post!
Sometimes they get one over on you and it is what it is . I would not blame you as you gave it a fantastic attempt to clear it. Great video again and thanks for trying
Ooh, that water looks cold. Kudos for you for keeping at it. I was eagerly awaiting that huge whirlpool, and that satisfying gush of water as I’m sure you were. 😎🇨🇦😎
You always are at the right place at the right time to try to fix flooded roadways!!
Great video, Post. I had just finished the other video you posted today, and this one came up at the end. Two excellent videos.
Great show never miss please take care but very easy to sucked in drains. God bless and guide you.
Thank you very much for the Great content that you share. My son and I enjoy watching.
You always give it a try and dont give up easily I lime that a lot. Thanks.
I really thought you had it. Definite A+ for effort! 😁
You can't success each time. But you are still a hero in my mind.
Thks for what you do.

🎉🎉😅
Hey Post! The quality of your videos inspired me to get a high end Samsung phone. The quality of the camera did not disappoint! Thank you for sharing all your travels!
Thanks Post ! 👊👍Appreciate you, stay safe and take care my friend 🙏 🙂
I half expected to see you get a mask and snorkel and go diving, lol. Kudos for showing your failures as well as your successes. Keep 'em coming.
Best CZcamsr of all time❤❤❤
A metal detector could have been helpful to find that pipe 😅
I've got an old Ace 250 and hand wands..found all kinds of old antiques and trash..lol..a few silver coins and a gold ring...fun to do
Definitely would have helped fast with a detector
It was blocked with the boulders, wouldn't have mattered
I love your persistence bro.!!!😊😊
Shoutout to camera number 2. Always giving his best shot
Best video yet!
I carry an extendable pole with a folding claw and a come along hand winch for pulling things out of a culvert. And a small hydraulic hand jack and metal plates to help open them back up from excavator damage. They also hand underwater hand held metal pin point detectors Those could help ya out on some of your adventures.
Bummer! I was anticipating a blast!
You gave it your best shot; not every time will be a clear win. Consider it one to learn from and move on. A for effort!
Thank you for trying to get it going sometime it needs more help bigger machines 😊.
Aww man…I know this must have been a bummer for you Post. You’ll get it next time. Cheers🇨🇦
Thanks for the informative video. UAlwaysU great content.
Love the camera # 2 confidence buddy.
How did I miss 3 videos from Post? Darn youtube algorithm! That's ok, I'm getting caught up now. Thanks Post!
The beavers are getting smarter and are now using stealth to hide their dams… Well done beavers, well done
Awesome 😊
Rats!!! I'm sure so many of us would like to be there helping you find the opening. Seems like -- so close-- and yet-- so far.😢
you cant win them all but you always give it your best shot props for that
you know it’s a good day when 2 post 10 videos in 4 hours
Or he found some memory cards under that mail on his desk. Heheh!
Thank you trying to do this. But maybe in the future, the situation may change. Have a safe trip home. Thanks 10!
Even a child's metal detector could be helpful for you in some of these situations where you can't find the pipe. It would false read on the actual road, but on the side of the road amongst the water or grass, could be helpful, even a handheld pointer...Great video, as always. Thanks Chief
Post10...A hard graft, soaking wet, but it shows such admirable dedication.
A metal detecting pin pointer might come in handy when searching for hidden metal culvert pipes. They are small and can fit into a pocket and most are waterproof. I was going to suggest a metal detector, but the good ones are expensive and not worth the expense unless you will use it often. Some of the good ones are also waterproof and they can see deeper than the cheap ones.
I can't believe watching these CZcams videos that I would get excited when someone starts a video by saying we've come to another flooded road because you know there's probably a good Culver to unpack lol
The leaves kept trying to float over to the pipe.
Maybe find or build a rod or pole (with extensions) that can reach and push out towards the cloged end from the other side.
I wish you could have got it unblocked, Post. I am just glad you didn't face plant in the water. If you don't want to do a live, how about we just submit questions and you answer some when you do your driving (around)conversation. Or the like. Peony season here in Indiana and Race weekend too.😊 I am sure your plants survived! Thanks for the new video!
Denied...😪 Looking forward to the Update Video.
First time ive seen a culvert outsmart post 10!
Hope your having a great day post 10. Almost at 750K subscribers! I’m rooting for you.
My armchair advice:
Go to the exiting end of the pipe and move back far enough so that you can look into it like into a tunnel. Align yourself so that you can look precisely straight down the pipe. Then find a landmark right above that line on the other side. That should allow you to site the pipe on at least one axis. Like looking down the sights on the barrel of a gun to tell what the target is.
that must have been extremely frustrating for u, and us, as it would have been a huge blast if u could have pulled it off. awesome effort though man
@1:04 this video's camera #2 Wooooo
Man, I felt that "RRRRR!!" in my gut. You'll get 'em next time.
A couple of leaves passed through when you first got right in and flooded your boots. Such a shame this time
Hey post. Love your content. Just an idea for the future. Maybe get a GoPro to attach as a body cam or hardhat cam. I bet the footage would be great
Suggestion, you think you could use a hand helt metal detector to find the culvert end? Good videos as always post!! 😊
I think you were very close. Look at the outflow at 2:00 - a few leaves flow through. Maybe increased flow for a few seconds before? The water is also discoloured after this
Thank you for confirming what I thought. I wasn’t sure.
@@unclenolly3207 There has been another video in the last few days and I'm sure it shows this culvert when the ditch is dry. The pipe is very badly smashed and there was no way he could have cleared it properly. But I'm sure Post did something!
Need to get a hand held underwater metal detector for metal pipes post. Keep up hard work and great videos.l
Maybe, if you have time and think of it, you could go back to that unfindable pipe location in during the drier summer months and have more success finding the culvert then? At any rate, great effort on your part!
I think the big high boots are good luck. You seem to have more success with them.
9:24 *frustration intensifies*
What a rude culvert! All good Post10. For sure frustrating for you but i still enjoyed the vid regardless of uncooperative pipes
Woo-hoo! 🎉
You should carry an underwater metal detecting wand, like scuba divers use
THERE IS ALWAYS THAT ONE THAT GETS YA! CARRY ON
I'm saying "go to the other side and look through the pipe to see if it'll show anything" to my phone and my family is looking at me weird 😂
dive.......Dive............DIVE...........straight in !
Fair play for numerous attempts P10 👍
You were in the right area, cause what you did up until seven minutes in seems to have put a plug in whatever hole there was. Sorry it didn't pan out, it would have been an awesome gusher.
Wow, I cannot believe that a blocked culvert stop you. Lol
Wonder if the powder green dye would help you locate the culvert opening.
Bad luck today. There's hope for the next one tho. 😊
Definition of "Determination"...........POST 10.
Post10 You need to make a "water scope". Take a PVC pipe maybe 2ft by 2 inch,, the wider the better. Cap one end with clear plastic, and then you can use this to look underwater. It should make finding some of these pipes much easier.
You can't win them all post 10 but at least you tried like you said the pipe is blocked with bolders all the best Andrew south wales uk 👍 👌 😀 🇬🇧 keep safe always 👍
May need to being an expandable pipe that you can push in to the pipe from the down stream side.
Great video Post 10 and with your permission first can I give you a special shout-out in a video
need to watch back your last video
Aloha 🌺🥰
First time I ever saw Post10 not find a culvert pipe.
Did you consider looking though the other end of the pipe to see if you could find the other end?
In situations like this would a tile probe help? You could stay on the edge of the road and be able to find the correct angle
Damn, Blue balled…
You’ve definitely met your match, my dude. It’s weird, the second camera showed some water flow and then it seemed to stop. This definitely wasn’t your typical organic blockage.
When you've set up camera 2, from the downstream end of the culvert, line up a point above the upstream end, so you don't have to be digging left and right but only out from the road, to find the blocked end. It will save you time and effort on these hidden culvert ends. Looking at the angle of the culvert (inside) compared to the road surface, should also give you an idea of how high or low the end is from the surface of the road.
3:01 thought for sure it was a dead animal. Lol
I’m surprised you don’t use tee post to mark the pipes, paint the tops of the posts fluorescent orange mark the end of the pipe, but on the side so it doesn’t hinder the water flow and catch branches leaves, etc.. Have a great day. Good video #10
Sounds like the kind of thing the organization putting the culverts in would have the budget and transportation for.
Well, that was a bit of a let down.
And it had such potential for a great gusher.
Thought the scuba gear was coming out on this one.
You should invest in a magnet on a pole to help trace where the metal pipes are under water.
How cool would it be to be able to toggle between the 2 cameras
That stubborn pipe must be mashed or you'd got it open Post.
That is baw deep
It appears that the exit end is pointing upward which would keep the water from going through. Or am I seeing things wrong?
Maybe it helps you to watch inside the pipe before you start and can see the angle -left/right/up/down- better?
Would you try some heavy duty plumbers poles to jam through the exit to locate the entrance.
A 5ft spike with a handle on the top that you can push through the ground and feel for hidden pipes could work.
