The developers of Sonic Prime stated that there won't be a Season 4 because basically it's just Sonic off on his next adventure. It wasn't Eggman, or the Chaos Council, it was just Sonic on his next journey. Now in the blu-ray leak, it did say "4 chapters" which surprised me, but still very unlikely for a Season 4.
We seriously don't know if there will be a Season 4 or not. Season 3 left off of a weird cliffhanger, where it looks like an ending but it also could LEAD to a potential Season 4.
