I am glad you all enjoyed the food there in Lao. Thai Khao Soy is actually Burmese influenced. Lao Khao Soy is made with pork, tomatoes, and Lao miso. The noodles in Lao Khao Soy is actually made with rice flour. "Khao" means rice and "Soy" means sliced. Lao Khao Soy is real Khao Soy. Also, much of Thai food is actually Lao food "redone." Historically much of Thailand specifically, Northeastern Thailand was once Laos before the French colonialism.

Thank you ❤️ we didn’t end up visiting Buddha park. Maybe only about 2 days if you want to do that! There wasn’t a whole lot to do in Vientiane to be honest!

guys I think you're doing the food wrong because you're trying to find thai food versions in Lao. Just research what are local Lao fare and eat that instead
