Who's the BEST player in the NHL?
Gretzky always and forever
mika 100%
mika all the way
mackinnon > connor
im gonna start a war with the edmonton fans in the comments
Kirill Kaprizov
From Canada: He'd better learn to call it hockey, not ice hockey. I hope he does well. His early and on-going enthusiasm and work ethic is promising.
Comparing a 7 year old to barkov is utterly insane
I think they were just implying that you can see how much he looks up to him by the way that he plays. Nobody thinks this 7 year old is a comparable hockey player to any NHL player.
whoever made this title doesnt realize how good hockey gets the older you get.. this kid is great for his age but he'd get rocked by kids just a couple years older easily..
Right - but he will be keeping with his group as he get older - and dominating his age group.
You are right im in a age group or 2 above him and he would get put on the groundin seconds i did rep tryouts yesterday and he would be dropped
Easily. You see these “phenom” kid vids all the time because they get clicks. He’s got talent for his age no doubt but the fact is the chance of him getting to the NHL is still extremely small
He's 7 playing U10 he's already playing 2 years up.
@@sirfrancis1756 the title states "twice his age"... He isn't playing with 14 year olds. It's all lies & clickbait.
That kid is going places. Good luck in all your ambitions!
The kids a star but everyone needs to calm down he’s seven not seventeen he’s got a lot of growing up to do before we should be making comparisons between him and NHLers
I like the vibes from this kid and his parents and wish them well!
Charming kid. He loves playing. Stay true to your free spirit kiddo. Keep practicing and keep flying on the ice.
cant wait to see him get better and better, great parents letting kiddo be a kid!!
He's happy and has passion. How many people can say the same about themselves ? Good work !
This kid is going to be great no matter what he does because of his parents. I hope he makes it to the NHL, but even if he doesn't, he has a great fall back position, the arms of his parents.
“My favorite sport is hockey.”
Dang fr, I had no idea.
Good luck kid, wish you the best.
Such a small human but a tough hockey player!! 🙌
Crushing it!
Bradon Point.
Good job, bud!
Some kids just got that natural passion for the game without their parents pushing them.
He's got it!
Thanks for doing another hockey video! These are my fav
Loving the dynamic btw coach and kid. Such a synergy!👊👊
So awesome!
@@whistlesports Don't clickbait titles, lies!!!
Kid has sick edge work for a 7 year old.
💯 props to coach Kerry Togneri!
Great coach. Great family!
This kid is so adorable I never wanna see his heart get broken though when the panthers lost the Stanley cup poor boy but keep playing strong Jeremiah!
Makes me smile when he’s not so much better than a good hockey kid but has 2 privat coachs every day for four years like the Galatyuk…Even if my boy is really good, i think it’s totaly wrong such video! Just love the game and enjoy the game! If it’s for you! Than it will happen
Hey whistle you should do some older hockey players.
Good for you kid. Hope to see you around the rink
Looking forward to see you play in the nhl one day. Keep grinding kid
im 2x his age and i would drop him, he is insne for his age but there is no way he dominates kids twice his age
That’s what I’m saying lmao.
Fr
same here
i would be suprised if he got a goal in peewee B

And remember folks, stay humble.
I am a 14u player who also plays in Florida, this kid while he is really good for his age eventually he'll be like every other kid. Hes only this good because of his trainers and I myself did private lessons for a few months but had to stop due to how expensive it was. He is good for his age because he is rich. I know kids were like this kid in my first few years of playing and now there just like every other kid.
JEALOUS
Money only goes so far though. At some point everyone training will hit plateaus and then genetics takes over.
Young legend- I see you king!
👑👑
I would love to see him make the nhl someday, he has that special drive
This kid is a below average player in Canada lmfao.
@@Gmaneeeee He has some talent, no doubt, but I think the "DOMINATES kids twice his age" might be referring to the average ice hockey player in Florida.
Keep doing your thing! Your doing great!
He’s unreal!
So good!
Awesome! but don't push too hard on being great at any higher level. Truth is, if you don't get at least 200lbs and 6 ft. It's going to be a tough road. Everyone gets skills sooner or later. The big boys always take over.
Not always true a lot of player No aren’t that big
@@HB-ez3qp Exceptions for everything. Just like every 6'2" 220 lb'er won't make anything, but that's the average size for the nhl.
@@HB-ez3qp Most are big though. If you’re smaller than like 5’9, and weigh less than 180, then your chances of making the NHL are quite low.
Sidney is like 5 ‘10 tho
Hockey hair, hockey swag, the kid is destined for the NHL
Man that hair though 😯😯🏒
He has it all!
Yep 100%
Yeah unfortunately impossible to tell if he’ll be able to handle hitting, whole different game when you get rocked and get concussions
If only I had a $1 for everytime I heard someone say that about a young "phenom"
The kid is good. I hope he keeps the passion.
Talking about NHL at 7? Dear sweet parents, you are the ones that aaa teams love to target. ("Wow, your son has lots of potential and if you pay $40k a year to our program, he'll stand the best chance to make the NHL".)
Haha yep. They are going to spend a fortune for likely nothing
of course he's good at hockey he has multiple personal trainers for hockey
Too early to know, but the kid has the drive, mad props
Come to Canada and he’s just another kid down the street. Nothing abnormal about him, we have thousands of kids who do the exact same every year, and probably have more natural skill.
Fr Bru I was better than him
@@hockeylife1738 ong
Plus being able to play outside
my brother is 7 and way better then him
hahaha lol
Literally dozens like this in Toronto Ontario... private skating lessons really helps at this age.
And not a single frame where he was wasting time on a cell phone or other device. How refreshing is that. Go get em kiddo...wish more Canadian kids would watch this video...
He looks like McKenna Grace. Hockey player, brain surgeon, or actor 😂🤭
Hey whistle I’m an 11 year old hockey player in Miami Florida i skate at Pines ice arena and Kendall ice arena I’ve been working for years and I’m the best at my age and size at my rink
Oh Canada, we skate before we can walk. My river just froze with 6 inches and I'm heading out for some action right now. Wana play real hockey you need to move north to or as close to Canada as you can get.
🔥🔥🔥
i wish i could be on this
Issue is with these kids who are really good when very young, except a soul few who end up doing very well. A lot of these kids get burnt out, this kid though has real, real passion for the game so I hope he doesn't.
Whistle i love hockey vids! Maybe could you do another?! Maybe torotora hockey
Keep it up!!
Yup, I coached hockey 15 years. Coached a number of these Sid Crosby kids with lawnmower parents. Out of all the skaters, I had 4-5 that got 4 year D1 scholarships and 2-3 that made it to the ECHL, with one signing with the Wings, playing 2 games. By 23-24 most if not all were playing in the beer league. Key is to just enjoy the game and have fun because you won't believe how many kids are better than yours when you hit the "real team" try-outs in a few years.
Frig I started skating and playing hockey at 23 lol no wonder everyone I play with is so good lol
Marlborough, MA literally has the exact same sheet set up, honestly I think they have even more
He’s beating 21 year olds🤯🤯🤯
Her training dominates.
I love hockey too I play for AA in MN.Keep it up kid
I always respect children commitment to any sport. It's not about kid, but adults around him. My son is 7 years old playing hockey in Canada I saw lot of talented kids at least the same level as kid on the video and nobody created such stories on CZcams. I don't know what's the point of such video. Even if there is something special as adults we should protect our kids from any hype at this age and teach them to be humble and focused.
Bring him to Minnesota. He’ll be lucky to keep up at his own age lol
Right...2 personal trainers and a good work ethic and surely he'll DOMINATE kids twice his age...in Florida. Good luck though, he has potential.
2:08 he can skate faster then me with that thing on lol😭😭
"If he's not a proffesional hockey player he'll be a brain surgeon" 'tiger parent
That was a quote from a different coach just clipped short to look like mom said it. However my mom does love tigers so probably likes the reference 😉
3:41 I’m the kid with his stick out trying to stop him from scoring but he scored he won his team the championship it was the palm beach hawks vs the solar bears. He is a very good skater and he can go bar down so I wouldn’t be surprised if he made it to the NHL
He is better than me and I am in Grade 4 eight years old and he’s way better than me that is insane I want to meet him one day❤
Love how he goes “the ten year old are tough” and then the title says he dominates 14 year olds
It’s Florida. In Canada he would definitely have competition. My Grandson would definitely give him a run.
Looks like house league to me
That’s were my first tournament penalty was held
I'm 14 which is double of seven and no way h comes to hit hockey bantam. He's 7. He'd get blown up
Legend!
Quack quack
You should do hockey goalies
Just keep the child humble, others catch up when they get older.
I’m a 12 year old aaa player in nj this kid would never dominate kids my age but he isn’t bad for his age
I'm 12U AAA too and this kid has very little, or no chance of beating kids double his age. He's insane for his age tho
If hes self driven to work on his edges at 7 he's gonna be a monster
Look at my kid😂
My kids peewee team just played the palm beach breakers in a 200x85 tournament. They do have a lot of skilled euros (swedish, czech, and Russians) who train in both EU and Florida as well as good local players and teams. Saying this kid is NHL bound is a great dream and the parents seem like they can afford all the lessons, programs, travel and training $300-400k post tax $ to at least get him into the circuit where he may be scouted. At least until the next recession and then we'll see. I would definitely be open minded and keep options open.
I think Mom doesn't fully understand the level of competition for either international hockey OR academics for brain surgery...
He'll have to keep it up for the next 7-10 years before he gets good, right now he has an edge because he can skate better and shoot high when no one else can, which doesn't indicate true talent. Once everyone else can do these things, the talent separation will occur when he can play the entire/most of game with his head up making good decisions and seeing dangerous passing lanes, and playing hard on the body as opposed to skating by defenders who can't skate backwards. Also, no video of his off puck play, which is 80% of the game, only of him scoring breakaways and deking, which is what most players with AB advantage can do.
Keep the dream alive but realize it's at least another 10 years and $300k of non-stop training. This all assumes he grows to be 6'2, 200lbs. If not.... At least it was fun watching your kid play a sport he loves.
First, If you think you need "$300-$400k Post tax to at least get him into the circuit where he may be scouted" you are 100% misguided. If you are good, scouts will find you.
Based on my local area 401 corridor (From Windsor to Quebec City) which is a hockey powerhouse, and more Specifically (Windsor-Detroit area) I can tell you this..
Top Guys Ever from our Area:
Bob Probert (46th overall in 1983 NHL Draft) - Raised in his teens by a single mother. His dad was a Windsor Police Officer but passed away with heart problems.
Ed Jovanovski (1st Overall in 1994 NHL Draft) - Didn't even play competitive travel until 13 years old. Played soccer before that.
Kyle Wellwood (OHL's Top Scorer in 2001, 5th Round in 2001 NHL Draft. - Didn't play AAA until Bantam.
Zack Kassian (2010 Memorial Cup Champions, 13th Overall Pick 2009 NHL Draft) - Started Hockey at 8 years old right after his dad passed away. Grew-up with single parent and a really awesome brother who helped him.
Eric Wellwood (2010 CHL Memorial Cup Champions, 6th Round in 2009 NHL Draft. - Didn't play AAA until Bantam.
Aaron Ekblad (1st Overall & OHL Exceptional Player Status 2011, 1st Overall in 2014 NHL Draft) - 1 Year ahead of Connor McDavid who did the same the very Next Year. - Didn't play on any "Super Team" from the Detroit or GTHL but instead trained in the Windsor area and Played for Sun County Panthers. Was also trained in part by Power Tech Hockey. Btw if you want honest, accurate info i suggest their podcast on YT.
Still not convinced??
Let's look at the last NHL Draft..
2 Players from the area Drafted:
1) Konnor Smith (#97 Overall in 2023 NHL Draft) - Konnor's Path was not linear. Even went down to AA from AAA in PeeWee. wmha.net/Articles/13029/Road_to_Success_Konnor_Smith_Drafted_to_Peterborough_Petes/
2) Andrew Gibson (#42 Overall in 2023 NHL Draft) - Played AA for the LaSalle Sabres until he was in Bantam.
Conclusion: Yes, hockey is an expensive sport, but you don't have to spend a massive amount of money or even play in certain places for scouts to find you. Scouts are incredibly good at what they do. If you are really good, they will know who you are.
Oh and by the way... Nikita Kutcherov - 5'11", Nathan Mackinnon 6'0", Connor McDavid 6"1, David Pasternak 6'0", Artemi Panarin 6'0" all top 10 scores in the NHL right now. I'd say Cole Caufield and Alex Debrincat at 5'8" are not doing too bad.
Not to mention Sid the Kid at 5'11".
Not the size of the dog in the fight it's the size of the fight in the dog, Domi (also a Windsor Area player lol)
Side Note: No disrespect to Whistle - I think you have a VERY entertaining channel. One thing i might change though is to be more realistic about the titles. If you think it through - Look at Crosby, McDavid, Mackinnon at double the boys age (14 years old). Don't think a 7-year old can compete with that. Just my opinion. Very entertaining never-the-less!
Wait until he grows to be 5'3 like his parents... What a RINGER.
😂
What do you mean? He's gonna be 7'2" or a Brain Surgeon.
No cap… I play against the palm beach hawks in like 4 weeks from now. But 12u
Great looking talent. But u can't judge any prodigy until toughness and physicality are constant in the sport.
I know a guy who was a stand out at 5,6,7 because of his size, but when the other kids caught up to him in size he became so frustrated that he kicked somone and was kicked out of hockey for life. He had also lost interest because he was no longer dominant.
One on one coaching is helpful
Izze Baggish - long distance runner next
I know who this is brooo I’ve seen him he’s been on my team before!!!
Love it!
7x2=10
Woooooooooooooooo
nice.
I can see the next Gretzky!
Lol he dominates in Florida where there's 24 kids playing hockey. Send him to Canada for a week he'll get humbled.
Despite florida being florida theres actually alot of kids who play hockey. There are alot of rinks here
Very misleading thumb nail. But the kid seems to have a real talent. Look forward to seeing him in the NHL someday
Gotta love hormone changes
In Minnesota we got the super rink which has 8 rinks I'm not joking
he should be the next one
Take your game to the next level by growing a mullet, kid.
Skating can dominate young players but eventually you need the hockey IQ to make it to the next level. This youngster needs a real good coach someone to teach him the tricks and how to outsmart his opponents. All sports are full of mind games you need to be deceptive you need your opponents to be second guessing your every move.
I remember going to tournaments and seeing the other teams warm up was intimidating but once th egames began they did not have the hockey IQ they were just flashy practics players.
part of the deal is toughness strength having a great shot and reading the ice understanding what is happening at every second. You will know if your kid has it when they tell you they want to play where ever it helps the TEAM win.Typically kids have the mentality they want to score and be the highlight reel but being a wining player far succeeds over highlight reels.
Looks very much like mom
"Wow" personal coaches.
NDO!
Let's gooo
That’s my team
So cool!
boom
🔥🔥
Lol he dominated in florida where 23 kids play hockey.
Imma be honest I saw him play the other day and i play 14u a in Foroida he is good but not excellent but I still think Florida hockey is underated
Wow these are nice parents saying they think their kid will be an NHLer or a Brain Surgeon.
When I was 7 my parents we're saying "well.. he's either gonna be a drug dealer or a addicted to crack".
Looking back at it all.. man did i ever come up short.
As someone from St. Louis which is a city serious about youth hockey I can say as a 14u player he would not keep up with me now I have played teams in Florida he could be 12u A level player there
So when do we get to watch him dominate players twice his age?
Hockey in Canada is contact at 13. No way mini dude lasts a shift.
He looks just like his mom!
he should be REALLY grateful for that lol. I actually thought he was a she well into the video lol.
