I’m very surprised that he can do that at such a young age but they have to teach him how to do it properly. Past or present it doesn’t matter they should teach him/her/they how to do it properly. In case people don't know here is how good Matthews was before his draft: 12-13 = 55 goals and 100 pts in 48 games 13-14 in total = 34 goals and 70 pts in 64 games. 14-15 in total = 75 goals and 165 pts in 84 games. 15-16 in total = 24 goals and 46 pts in 36 games in the National League in Switzerland. WJC u18s totaled: 13-9-22 pts in 14 games WJC u20s totaled: 8-6-14 pts in 12 games career junior stats: USDP = 79-88-167 pts in 104 games USHL = 30-38-68 pts in 44 games For context = Laine in his draft year also playing in a Men's league scored only 17 goals and 33 pts in 46 games And its kinda crazy that Matthews (aside from Leaf fans) wasnt hyped up as much as Eichel, despite out performing him in the USHL and the USDP. Eichel USDP = 67-72-139 pts in 111 games USHL = 33-39-72 pts in 59 games
OK so to all the parents out there telling your kids to pass and play as a team i guess you were wrong becasuse all I really see is super selfish glory hounds looking to score goals. The Crosby clip is the exception.
