That second game was quite a scare! Luckily Christie was able to bounce back and closed it down! Would you believe it, after 22 years without anyone in the final, we now have 2 for tomorrow and seal the title!!!
Not "30 years without anyone in the final", but 30 years without all indonesian final in all england. A very young Taufik was beaten in the final of 99 by Peter Gade. And in 95, after winning it in 94, Haryanto Arbi also reached another final.

Christie really didn't need to do those delay tactics at the end.
This is why I will always cheer for Ginting.
Haven't seen many cheap tactics at the All Enlgand this year.
Sen got very low in stamina at the 3rd game and wasnt smashing very strong but he has the potential to be the top player ....

I am baffled puzzled perplexed why Lakshya sen didn't stick to the net game which unsettled Christie in the second. Just astonishing!!!!
Sen is a player with lots of ego. He reminds me of Taufik Hidayat but with only a pinch of Hidayat's talent.
@@wenderis that's quite a downplay of a fantastic player. Also can't see any big ego.
To play a strong net game you need to have the energy to move to the back court as quick at possible at any time of the game to either finish the point or to move the opponent to their back of the court. Lakshya was significantly more tired that Christie was in this match. Christie basically got a bye in the previous round; Sen had to play 3 games. He just ran out of stamina. It was just tough luck this time around. We'll need to see them both play fresh to see a more competitive game between the two.
