That's the most jacked up diving board I have ever seen! I worked triple Derrick's back in early 70s for my dad and if I'd let the pipe swing like that after the latch , Dad and crew would of kicked my ass!! Cut the crap off the board and lean out a little!
Agreed give the guy a decent diving board and he'll be better, speed? No speed up maybe. Cut the garbage off the board if he still can't get it hobble the elevators... If he still can't get it send him back down to throw chain
I worked as a hydocarbon mug logger in ND back in 76, on 1 trip I had to get out of my trailer 3 times and get up un the deck to point up at the derrick hand hanging from the safety rope. Offhanded they said he was going to be a good one as he didn't crap his pants yet
If I was the Driller that wannabe wouldn't be up on that board. He'd be on the floor in the worm hole tailing that pipe rack. He doesn't even qualify as a worm but as a maggot on a worms ass. Lol
Wow...i feel bad for this cat on that last stand...i remember once one a big triple..T.O.H.bit trip..the motorhand thought it would be funny to bow the pipe as i was pullin her back...so after 10 stands i came down and told that driller ..if he let that motherfucker bow on my pullback I wasn't gonna unlatch another fucking stand...well next stand it happened again..ok..the very next stand i sat down and didnt move for 30 minutes..then came down and started sacking my shit...the driller fired the motorhand on the spot ..and we finished the trip...COMMUNICATION!!!

There’s only so many things to say but I noticed that there’s no safety lanyard attached to his harness. But other than that it’s still all f’d up and that board is just a trip hazard it’s got to go.
