Wow! much respect for you taking a second look at this. It's just not live stream material. It's a more 1 on 1 experience.
It's funny, but for 11 bucks I want more then 30 minutes of play.
Then whatever you do don't buy RollerCoaster Legends.. LOL. 5 bucks for 6 minutes.
I hear people who have played it will want to play it multiple times
the reason it is so short is because they want the game to be able to be played in 1 sit and if it's longer than a hour people may get motion sick
30 minutes? I played for just about 3 hours straight going into all the different levels. Seems like you went too fast.

I'm old, so a good portion of the humor came across as sophomoric (mostly the non-stop dialogue that is meant to annoy). Beyond that, this was a fresh, engaging, and most importantly insane way to spend a few bucks/hours. The alleyway gang scene alone is worth the trip.

good review and surprising outcome! I've been a fan of Rick and Morty since season one, so I was aware, before plugging in, of what this game would contain. But I can absolutely understand how someone who doesn't enjoy that type of humor would not enjoy this game.
Well after watching WWL and watching the first and last 60 seconds of your first play through, this review comes as quite the surprise.
I can admit when I'm wrong. During the livestream I was just waking up, hadn't really had any coffee yet and was trying to read comments and respond. It was just too much. But I'm glad I gave this game another chance. It's not nearly as annoying as I thought initially and some of the humor even made me crack a smile or two. :D
It's not a matter of being right or wrong, it's a matter of a heightened appreciation after careful reconsideration.
And possibly Stockholm Syndrome.

Yeah i agree with you on this one. I ended up not live streaming this and soaking it in and i gotta say the humor was hit and miss but when it hit it had me dying. For example i could've sat there and listened to the gang for a hour if they left me. This is 1 game that is hard to blind stream because a lot of the conversation will fly over your head. That damn zoo level is going to have us all playing this over and over till we find it 😹

Accounting+ is really short. About an hour or so but you''ll want to play through at least twice.
Resident Evil 7 is my favorite (and $15 is an amazing deal) but also check out Wipeout Omega, To The Top, Statik, and Thumper too! :D

Darn, im a fan of R&M, i expected more from the game. It had some humor, and weird ideas, even a little spooky but it was too quick and simple. I enjoy your review still.

This game is hilarious. This will only appeal to those that can dig low-brow humor. I love everything from sharp witticisms to poop jokes, so this game was easy to love.

The mild humor during the tutorial didn't strike me as that funny, but once the game got going and the madness set in I was laughing out loud all the way through. I've never seen Rick and Morty so I had to pick a meme at random. I'm looking forward to see what depraved nonsense is behind the other two memes.
After reading the comments, guess I'll be the first to say it. This isn't a review. You had a great thesis to start the video off no doubt foreshadowing a great video explaining what to expect without spoiling too much of the experience, but then you didn't follow up with anything. I get that this is a short game, so a short review is acceptable and as I stated you don't want to spoil too much either, so what could you have talked about? How about the many objects you can interact with, some that have an effect on your surroundings and others that progress the game. There's dialogue that keeps going, if you wait long enough there is a ton of funny lines that most people never hear because they're trying to complete the adventure rather than enjoy the extra content. A good example of this is the brick that starts talking to you if you hold it too long daring you to throw it at the window and eventually calling you a chicken for not doing it. Then you could have mentioned the secret levels. I get that showing people could be a spoiler, but the stomach level has a secret level door that you could have shown in your video. You could have mentioned that there are several secret levels to find and one the devs claim they put into the game but nobody has ever seen it yet called the Zoo Level. You could have also shown off the starting area that has a basketball and hoop, a Zoo Level cartridge just out of reach, a language selector that even has a dog option, and a level selector to return to a level without having to progress to it normally.
That's it, if you said everything I just did it would have been a full review despite it only reaching 5 minutes with a little padding at the very most. But at least it would have touched on all the bases that make this game stand out without telling people too much. It would have been better than mentioning how you hated it and then liked it afterwards. That alongside your admittedly good thesis is about all you said and it covers very little of the game leading people who haven't played it very confused about what the game even is aside from being a weird VR experience.

Calling the creators of this game “two legends” is definitely overstepping it, even if they were just referring to their television accomplishments. I’m sure Roiland himself wouldn’t consider himself a legend.

I think I probably would have agreed with you on my first playthrough. But once I got into it, the dialog was pretty funny and finding secrets became an obsession. It''s not for everyone, but I enjoyed it. :D
