When my daughter was born it changed my life and how I look at things, in a good way!!! My advice to you, enjoy every moment even the ones that aren't the most fun to deal with, because she will grow so fast you will blink and wonder where the time went. Congrats and I hope everything goes well!

Me & my girlfriend have to spend long periods of time away from each other somewhat regularly (or at least more than we'd like)... and being conscientious about how you are with the other in those tims you *do* get to have together is so important... We're not in a position to buy our first home together yet but I really think when that time comes, it will give us that grounded place where we can both come back to and just relax and enjoy each other's company... resonated with me a lot that

Your have a great Support network with your partner, it is SO VERY IMPORTANT to have a smooth Home life as it gives you the ability to focus on your PASSION and LOVE of Body Building, i to competed in several Body building competitions and when things were good at home i trained well ate well and slept well, but it only takes a few things here and there to occur and things go out the door!!! Chris your physique really is an all time great. Your a fantastic mix of Frank Zane, Bob Paris and a dash of Arnold. A physique everybody likes and wishes they had. You have ensured the sculptured, classic aesthetic look didn't disappear when it was feared that just being the biggest, bubble gut and all could win you an O and the escalation of that trend looked like being the future with Classic diminishing in importance. You have single handedly risen the popularity of classic to almost open levels (FFS sort out the prize money IFBB) and in my mind saved the sport. Your influence changing the trajectory of bodybuilding isn't recognized enough. So please please don't quit till you break the record and get 9 Mr Os. You deserve the recognition and prestige that would bring and it would be so just. It also hugely important your a fantastic role model and champion. Go for that record Chris dont "see how you feel each season". Set that goal.

Man, my son absolutely changed my life. I had a blessing in disguise and had a really bad injury right before he was born. It allowed me to spend the first 2 -3 years at home with him and man I would injure myself all over again just to get that time back. Was one of the best things because most fathers don’t get that time with their kids. Enjoy yourself, Chris. Enjoy it while they are young, it’s stressful at times but it’s gone in a heartbeat. Everyone tells you how fast they grow but you don’t even notice til the baby stages are gone.
Im the same age as you and I feel like I have nothing going on. You motivate me to be more.
